Seran:
*waits a reasonable amount of time and then slithers out of Kurik's ear, seeking with his palps. The tinge in the air tells him he is in the medical pod. Good...he drops from Kurik's head and lands with a plop on a small hard surface not far from his host's head. He slithers along the surface and touches his palps to a node, the kandrona pool ready and waiting. He slithers in and rejoices in the energetic feeling, but quickly gets down to business. The pool has nodes in it to receive and transmit information, impulses...they were a Yeerk's natural way of controlling a ship.*
*Seran had long since decided that if he had to heal and he was on his own, he'd still want to control his ship even in that vulnerable state. It hadn't taken much to rig up the hardware, the software had been a bit harder, but it did it's job well now. That two-faced, conniving son of an andalite must've leapt up and crawled through the hatch while it was still closing. Seran cursed himself for a minute before his palps detected a huge shock that reverberated through the ship, the pool tilting back and forth. He quickly swims up to the nodes and uses his over-ride codes to access the ship's central computer. The first thing he does is to enact a level 5 internal security lockdown on the ship, all doors and blast-ports closing throughout his small ship, effectively sealing the bridge, med-bay, and all other portions of his craft. Mainly he wanted to keep himself safe from the other controller.*
*Seran sends impulses through the palps and can suddenly "see" all around the ship through photoreceptors...th en he looked at the ship stats. Grand Gralacks did the idiot not even know what a shield matrix was? Well Seran wouldn't take control just yet, let the controller have his fun, he does however access the shield system and erects the defensive energy matrix around the ship. The lockdown erected from his node console effectively locked all systems not currently taking commands from the bridge. Security, life-support, shields, nav-com, z-space drive....the other controller wouldn't be able to access them. There was no way to remove the lock save from his console. All the other controller could do now was maneuver with atmospheric thrusters, run sensor sweeps, and fire weapons. It would be so easy to send a simple impulse and entomb the controller on the bridge without a whit of control, but at the moment he did want to preserve his ship, and the other controller could more easily and effectively maneuver the ship and weapons systems with the manual controls on the bridge. If he's any good that is.*
