Alic had been keeping one eye on Ossanlin and felt a little bit of relief as his fur changed to her favorite shade of blue. She knew he would be ok, as long as the clawed psycho decided to leave everyone else alone.

She watched the trio looking for any sign, almost hoping that the Yeerk would be untrustworthy. It would make it so much easier to give the Beast what he wanted and to be left alone.. For once.

((yeah, Oss. 4 pages later for computer people. My phone only shows 4 to 6 replies per page depending on how long the replies. Example.. It says our rpg is 327 pages long, I know its not really that much haha.))

Shal stands silently, a bit too close to Breekan, still holding her hand in front of her face. Her skin continues to flicker on occasion.

Breekan peeks down to see the scanner's reading just in time for a geyser of thick, black glop to erupt from its viewscreen. He drops it in a panic, some of the stuff splashing in his eye. Smoke and the smell of burning eyeball are quick to follow. Breekan puts a hand over his eye in pain and swings his fist, halting suddenly with a milimeter to keep it from slamming the table. The scanner's melted guts and screen slosh out of its outermost casing, steaming on the floorboards.

The creature that appears to be Mar nods. "I have no idea if you will be able to re-enter again. I am only helping you to free your mind of its troubles. Since you have asked for my assistance, I will ease you out. We are vulnerable as I have no idea what's going on outside. But something in me doesn't like it. We must hurry and be ready."

Mar wanders about the strange white space, heading towards the light that does appear in fact to be the exit. Strange black tendrils cross the edges of the space just outside of Ossanlin's vision. "Stay close and we shouldn't run into my body, but this space is an awkward one and I do wish it were someone else doing this little procedure."

He stops and turns towards him, nodding. "You're very brave, by the way."

Temrash was engrossed in his memory, so he was mildly surprised to see Corliss, but the news surprised him more. "Does he have the rifle with him?" He asked. Corliss nodded. "It fires concussive blasts, but has a reasonably low rate of fire. Handheld dracon weapons don't do much more than irritate him. we'll need to get him outside, and fast. I wonder how that brakeep would take it if he vaporized the walls. And yeah, I can remain calm."

Back in the bar, the hunter was getting a little suspicious. How were they able to hook up the machine without restraining him? was the Yeerk so desperate that he allowed himself to be tricked? Or was there something else going on? These couldn't be members of a resistance group, could they? He would need to be prepared to be attacked from multiple points. He took out a device that could control his ship. One way or another, it would end here.

((Good lawd Alic, that must be kind of a pain to wade through!  It's only around 110 on my comp.))

*Ossanlin walks along with the creature that his mind is convinced is Mar and nods.*  <My bodily senses are shot right now, I can sense nothing outside this...>  *waves his free hand in a wide arc*  <...place.  My mind is quieting now, as I'm sure you can see.  I thank you.>

*Ossanlin continues walking with the creature and turns to regard him...*  <Brave?>  *he chuckles*  <I don't know about that.  I'll go as far as I need to to save my friends, if that means my life then that's a matter of course.  I form strong bonds with my friends, and I tend to form them quickly.  It has gotten me into trouble in the past, but I never seem to learn.>  *He smiles with his eyes.*

*He turns back toward the light which has gotten considerably closer, they were almost out it seemed.*  <Now I trust I'll still have full quarter over my own soul when we get out...>  *Ossanlin hesitates for a moment deliberately before his eyes crack another smile belying his joke.*  <I do appreciate your help Mar, with everything.>  *Ossanlin turns to regard the far-off dark tendrils briefly*  <Oh dear, I seem to be forming another unlikely bond.>  *Ossanlin tilts his head and regards Mar.*  <I guess I'm a hopeless case.>  *he smiles again*

((Right about now Myitt would be screaming at Ossanlin to run away, far away, no bonds, not allowed, scary scary man XD  And Chad, I think your 'brakeep' typo actually almost sounds like an alien language, haha...it took me a second...XD we should use it, hehehe.))

Outside the dreamlike world of Temrash's mind, Myitt gapes at Breekan.  "Holy sh*t!" she exclaims, flinching back from the hot black ooze, coughing on the acrid stench of burning metal and flesh.  "Breekan, your face!" She knew her friend had remarkable regenerative capabilities, but that still had to hurt...

---

"I don't care what the ruddy barkeep thinks of the walls," says Corliss, speaking in English, but it is intelligible to Temrash in this mind-to-mind connection.  "On my mark we'll exit and get ready to blast the wall he's sitting closest to.  I have detonators, if nothing else the physical blast might knock him outside.  Or unconscious, if we're really lucky.  Ready?  One...two..."

---

The black box on the table next to Myitt flashes red, but she doesn't notice it for a moment, stuck on handing Breekan a dish towel sitting near the register.  The machine starts beeping and she whips toward it, cursing.  "F*ck, f*ck, f*ck..."  She shakily presses the unlatching controls with her only really useful hand, and the tendril-like wires snake out of Corliss' and Temrash's ears.  Corliss curses and holds one side of his head, eyes watering.  "Jesus, I hate that," he hisses, drawing his Dracon.  "Myitt, the wall behind him."

Myitt blinks, drawing her Dracon and aiming in the direction Corliss is pointing his weapon, both of them firing at the bar wall, disintegrating a huge swath of it and the concealable whiteboard it contained.  The heat from it is enormously uncomfortable, and several of the booths against the wall start to char and set aflame from it.

Wind from the green forest clearing outside starts to pour into the bar.  It's cold.

Without delaying Corliss chucks a timed detonator in the bounty hunter's direction, hoping for the best.  Since the bounty hunter was pretty well removed from everyone else, he also hoped it wouldn't hurt any of his own comrades.

(Barkeep)

"Gafrash!" He yelled in Galard. He leaped up and grabbed one of the rafters with his hands while the explosive detonated below him. He fired a shot at the bar where Temrash was, but he had moved.

"Outside, Tiny!" He yelled as he ran through the hole.

<Heh heh. Tiny. Funny. Heh heh.> Jagill said.

"Have to get to my.....ship?" Temrash said, as he noticed the charred ground where his bugfighter had been. "My Kandrona machine was in there!"

Just then he ducked as another shot was made. He drew his dracon beams and fired, but the hunter deflected them with his rifle.

<Long range, he blasts you. Close range, he breaks you.>

<I know.>

"I shouldn't have hesitated. I don't like being tricked!" He said as he aimed for Myitt.

"No!" Temrash yelled as he launched into action. He attacked with a fury of blows, but it was like a Gedd trying to beat up a Hork-Bajir. "Alic! Your controller friends are in danger! Wake your friend up so he can help out!"

"I don't know what makes you so much harder to kill than most Horks, but I will find out." He said as he nailed Temrash in the face, and knocked him down. He didn't flinch. "Why don't you feel pain!?"

Myitt dodges as the bounty hunter aims towards her, but she relaxes a hair as his attention is diverted by Temrash.  Dracon aimed in her uncoordinated hand, she tries to make a shot for the hunter.  "Damnit, he's too fast," she growls, pushing back her chair and backing against the bar counter, trying to steady herself.  He was also outside, making it difficult to aim through the big charred hole, and very close to Temrash, and she didn't want to hit him if she could help it.  He might be useful, after all.

"Dracons won't even work on him, so don't try," says Corliss.  Myitt looks at him.

"Detonators," they say at the same time.  Myitt nods and draws one of the few she has left, activates it and throws it at the bounty hunter.  It rolls along the ground and stops behind his back, but it's still very close to Temrash as they pummel each other.

The detonator exploded, and the hunter screamed in pain. He was knocked to his knees, but didn't fall. He turned towards Myitt, and bared his teeth as he roared in rage. His tail was useless now, and his backside was totally open.

"Let's see how tough you are under that skin." Temrash said as he got up. The hunter dropped his rifle and leaped at Temrash to rip his head off. Temrash fell, then used his legs and the momentum to send the hunter over and onto his back. He screamed in pain again, and blood pooled on the ground. He grabbed his remote, and pressed a button.

"I'll kill you all..." he said as the ship came alive, and the guns armed. He ship was bigger than a bugfighter, and looked like a stingray with guns above and below the wings. It hovered above the ground, and began firing at Temrash. He ran away from the bar, and into the woods as the hunter tried to get inside.

Mike had just finished his water and set it down before suddenly a dracon blast destroyed part of the wall in front and to the left of him. The boy fell off of his chair, his hand still wrapped around the glass. His arm catapulted it across the room as he tumbled towards the ground, the glass smashing against the wall behind them near the door to the bar. He landed on his back and immediately it arched and he yelled out in pain. Thanfully, physical pain was something familiar to him and he quickly began to crawl away from the bar. He would have stood and ran, but being blind provided other obstacles. Eventually he managed to pull himself behind a table and he pulled it over, the top facing his side. He ducked behind it and whimpered softly, wondering if he should morph. He could hear explosions behind him and scattered furniture landed in front of him.

It was hard to pick a morph, because he wasn't totally sure he wouldn't be blind in that form. Mike didn't want to morph something large because he knew he'd immediately get targeted and shot. The small orange furry animal became the single thought contained within his head. His body shrank slowly, his tail forming first. If anyone could see his left hand which was sticking out, it formed a paw long before he shrank. His lithe body made his arm look disproportional to his large hand. Eventually the small bobcat stood wearily behind the downed table. He could see and more than anything, that made him forget about everything else. He scurried behind the bar to his left and hopped up onto the counter on the wall.

(My character is a human with morphing capabilities. If everyone hasn't figured it out, the shadow he keeps mentioning made him a deal when he was about to die in the woods and told him to kill Myitt. If he didn't follow through Crayak said he would take Mike's life, most probably this course of action was what Crayak had planned all along and he still has further plans for Mike so he just blinded him in human form. I'd give more background but it'll come out sooner or later.)

((holy crap guys! I'm bored all nigh before bed and no one writes.. I check this onmy lunch and you guys went crazy.))

All of a sudden everything broke out into craziness. Black ooze an walls bursting open, all within seconds. Alic stood her gaurd in front of Ossanlin, making sure none of year debris were to hit him. <C'mon, Ozzy! You need to get up. They need us out there.>
Then, to Temrash, <I can handle it in here, they can take care of themselves for now. I'm working on Ossanlin. Be safe!>
She watched everyone rush out, only the few left inside. She looked towards the bt and shrugged.
Alic ran to the bar and took a dirt pitcher, filling it with water herself, then rushed back to where Ossanlin laid.

<Sorry buddy. You're taking too long in there!> The pitcher tipped and she had poured the water over his head, hoping it may bring him back to reality.

Out of the corner of her eyes which had been watching the bar obsessively, she watched Mike disapear behind a table, only to watch a cat jump out and hide. <If he comes in, stay out of the way, boy.>

The woods were on fire from the ship's weapons. While the smoke and flames hid him, Temrash had to try not to get burned or scorched. There was nothing he could do to fight back. His ship was gone, and he had nothing to attack that other ship with.

<Do something crazy.> Jagill said.

<Heh heh. That's how I've lived this long, isn't it? Doing crazy stuff? Then let's do it.>

He started making his way back towards the ship.

Mike looked to his left where Alic and Ossanlin stood and nodded, his whiskers twitching. <I will, I will!> His tail pushed under his body and shot between his legs. When Alic made her way from Ossanlin he darted towards the male andalite. He landed on the actual counter of the bar and sprinted to where Ossanlin was. His hand was resting on the bar and his small head bent down and licked on the blue fingers. His small tongue lapped at smooth joints, his tail uncurling from his rear left leg. He made a mewing noise as he looked up at the disabled alien, ignorant of the journey going on within his head.

((Awww, cute little Mike-bobcat! :D))

Myitt and Corliss are both aiming at the hole in the bar wall, Myitt turning every so often to check the main entrance.  "Where the hell did they go?" she snarls, pushing her wounded arm closer to her chest and flinching, turning to aim at the bobcat.  "Mike, listen to Alic," she says, turning full circle and watching him jump onto the bar counter.  "That bounty hunter's one hell of a bad ass."

"Myitt?" says Corliss.

"What?" she snaps, turning toward him and the hole in the wall.

She sees what he sees: the massive ship looming outside the bar.  "Oh," she replies.

"Temrash has run off toward it, bugger's mad," says Corliss tersely.

Myitt looks over at Ossanlin, just in time to see Alic splash him with water.
