Vlad stood and shook the mans hand, making sure to squeeze with his supernatural strength, ''Well, I have reason right now to believe that within a mile radius, we will find one of the andalite space crafts, because there was a s.o.s sent out a few moments ago.'' Then suddenly the lights around them and he suddenly seemed made of smoke and softly flew towards the door, and slithered out without even opening the door.

"Thank goodness," Amy said.  "You could try to talk Taylis into joining.  She's running from the Empire."

[Nero's Fury]

"Can't say I'm too surprised. She said she was posted here, but didn't have anything to feed with. I may see if she qualifies for joining me in my efforts to end this war. I could offer you the same thing, though the easy route would be taking a Yeerk you're comfortable with and positioning you within the Empire. Of course if you want to try to manage things on your own, that would be fine."

"I don't make it a mission to free every involuntary in the galaxy, but when one lands in my lap I take action."

Efaen holds Ossanlin's steady gaze for a long moment, and it is clear that there are several things she wishes to say, but she keeps them to herself.

<I will not return to the homeworld,> she says at last. <I would never be allowed to leave again. It would be too great a risk. And I will not allow that child to control me. She is delusional and destructive. It is a wonder she has kept us alive this long. I will return to the military and see what use I can be there.> Efaen does not look particularly happy about this decision, but does not push Ossanlin further. He knows how she feels.

Gracing Corliss and Reven with a stalk eye each she continues, addressing them. <You would do well to eliminate Terenia immediately. She destroys everything she touches. If you think that she will help your cause it is because you are fools. You would be better off leaving her in that sludge forever, or opening the airlock once you reach orbit.> She turns, giving Reven her full attention. <If you are truly who you say you are, and you wish to eliminate the Empire, heed my advice and destroy her. At best she will hinder your cause, at worst she will bring it to the ground.>

Turning her attention to Corliss she smirks coldly, knowing that Terenia can hear in the other room. <I would offer you the same warning, but it is too late for you, dapsen. She has already begun to destroy you.>

"You just seemed a bit bothered, is all. Not that I'm some kind of shrink or anything, but it seemed like you were thinking to yourself. Glad everything's going your way just about." Derrel said.

"I'm not voluntary," Amy said.  "I have nothing to go back to on earth though.  My family is dead because of her and the Yeerks will kill me as soon as they see my face.  I'm a controller of convince right now.  I doubt that you'll find a post I can take anyway because I'm the mayor of New York City."

Salem blinked as Vlad seemingly turned to vapor and flowed out the door. He stood for a few seconds, staring at the spot where Vlad had disappeared.

"That was new," he muttered to himself, shaking out his hand. Vlad's grip had been painfully tight.

He tipped his hat to Mar. "Please excuse me, Highest. I'll be back when I can"

He turned and walked out the door. As he did, he drew his communicator from his pocket and spoke into it.

"Hey, Al, you seen a transmission from on the surface that could be an Andalite S.O.S. call?", he asked, looking around for Vlad. "Probably pretty recently," he added.

Al's voice came back over the communicator, "Haven't exactly been watching, man. Gimme a minute to check."

Standing atop of the bar, Vlad turned his nose to the wind and began sniffing.

After a few moments he jumped to 20 feet to the ground next to his new aquaintance.

''There is a scent similar to an Andalites, close by to. But its old. Im unsure weather its them or anyone of them for that matter.''

Walking into the parking lot adjacent the bar, Vlad headed for what looked similar to a Earth sports motorcycle, minus wheels.

As he pulled on the helmet he continued, ''I will lead the way, but i may be wrong. So anyway you may have of figuring it out, please dont hesitate to do so.''

"I've just got a few things to figure out, that's all," Illim shrugs, looking the other way. Abruptly, his head swings around to look at Derrel again, his dark eyes sharp. "So tell me again exactly what you remember from your trip here?"

Reven regards Efaen coolly.  "If I believed that any one person in our operation could single-handedly bring it to the ground, do you really think I would allow her to live among us?  I thank you sincerely for the warning, Andalite, but I know my brother and I think I might even know a little of the human child's mind.  I will take the risk."

He turns his attention to Corliss, who looks visibly shaken. 

"Bring the nothlit girl when you return, Corliss," Reven says.  "We'll initiate quarantine."  His gaze turns toward Ossanlin.  "Thank you again, my friend.  It is my hope and the hope of the rebellion that you remain well and the cause remains prosperous."

With that, the feed cuts out.

"I see. Well you are free to leave the ship and go back to the bar if you would like. Perhaps you will think of something on your own terms." Temrash said.

He turned to the pool Tayliss was in, and turned on the communicator that would allow them to speak to each other. "Tayliss. My name is Temrash, and I am a rebel. Your host told me you are running from the Empire, so I can't just ransom you back and let you get on with your career. I could offer you a place under me somewhere that you would not be recognized, if you agree to work against the Empire. I am against involuntary infestation, so you will not be returned to the Human without her consent."



"The most recent thing I remember before I found myself on the ship was just hanging out in the back alleys. Then there's a gap, and I woke up to see a woman facing me. She had this machine that she was using that might have been what erased my memories. There was a man about my age, and a woman strapped to a table. I freed her, and we left. There were also two aliens. A big one and a little one. The ship they brought me in might still be here, though I haven't seen the people around. I've been sleeping for the past few hours."

Taylis was glad to hear this in a way, both she and her host were save for now.  <I understand if Amy doesn't want me back.  I broke the rules and all it did was get everyone she loved dead.  I don't even want to be in this war anymore because I've lost all that I love too.  Just see to it that Amy is safe.>

Freedom was something that Amy wasn't used to.  There had always been a union or lobbyist that would tell her what to do.  She wanted to fight the Imperial Yeerks in some way but she had to think if she wanted it to be with Taylis or not.  "If she makes up her mind about anything let me know."  She picked up her handbag and headed toward the bar.

Derrel's story seemed to hold true to what he had said earlier, which meant he was either a good liar or he was telling the truth. "So what did the aliens look like?" <Hork-Bajir, maybe...> he mused to Serid. "And this woman who had the machine, what about her?"

She got the drinks and say his down for him and then pulled out her staff. <that is strange. Its never done that before. I've dropped it and jammed it in rocks and it never flinched.> she said.
