Derrel must have jumped five feet when the door slammed open and the stranger came through. Without thinking, he gravitated to one of the Human-like bar patrons in the hopes of protection. Not that some stranger should want to stand between Derrel and whoever that guy was.

Claxter was caught off guard by the new swiftness of the last drone. He stopped firing the weapon, and lashed out with his tail. He also went for his familiar shredder with his free hand.

Bear let out a startled bark. His hackles rose and a low growl built deep in his throat. His lip curled into a snarl.

Silver had her staff in hand and had jumped so quickly it would have been a blur to others eyes or if not paying attention she would just disappear. She had jumped into the air and now was aiming a strike at the drone's head as she called out "Skem ti pacto!" and lightening and energy began to sizzle the staff and her tattoos and eyes began to glow the same vibrant colors of the elemental charge.

Host? Did she just say... The lady wasn't acting like a Yeerk.  She might have seen Yeerk build from straws before but only when acting like its host or bored.  But this was something else.  "Disney movies," she said to wrap up the answer to the question that was addressed to her.  "What type of being are you that you need or have a host?"
The handsome newcomer made quite an entrance.  It must be nice to not have to be unafraid to show your face in public.  She longed to go back to those days.

Illim winces at the loud sound the door makes as the newcomer enters and, when he settles into his barstool, he's surprised to find someone who at least appears to be a human man cowering next to him. "Easy there," he murmurs to Derrel, although his attention is now being drawn towards the cowboy across the Bar. He looked confident, surely; perhaps that was the person he needed.

"Hmm. I guess," Fiona murmurs, placing a straw down just as the doors burst open. The castle collapses. She swears under her breath and begins again.

After about a minute of this, she remembers that she never answered the question. "Oh. Well, it's not so much a need as it is a convenience. I can't do squat in my 'natural' form besides move around and observe. And while that's kind of nice when you're not really in the mood to have to talk to anyone... it gets old, you know?"

"I don't really think I do," Taylis said now confident the person that she was talking to wasn't a Yeerk.  "So all you want to do is talk to people?"

The unit's cranial, abdominal and spinal supports absorbed the lightning that seems to come from nowhere. He momentarily stopped, confused. But then remembered the Andalite had the hypostore. He charged again.

The andalite had drawn his weapon. The unit pulled his Quantryon beam from his supercomputer/belt. The collective could get them at any time. Now was the time to get their superior drone.

He fired and a stream of hyperactive, high energy homeless quantryons(http://phirephasers.weebly.com/my-inventions.html) lanced at the andalite.

Fiona waves her hand. "Not specifically that, no. It's more the whole experience of being in a body. If I'm out of one for too long, I start missing things." She shrugs. "Maybe that's why I started taking hosts in the first place, I don't know." Liar.

"Ok. I don't exactly have nerves of steel." Derrel said to the guy he was next to. "My name is Derrel, by the way." Not that anyone cares. "I was abducted by aliens. I can't believe I just said that." He sat down at the table, and watched the new arrival out of the corner of his eye.

Claxter tried his best to dodge the blast without bowling Silver over. It grazed his side. He set the hyperstore down, as he was afraid of it getting damaged, and fired off a shot or two as he tried to make it towards the doorway. He was beginning to feel claustrophobic.

A sound of rejoicing came from Taylis's host.  Amy thought that she would fail to find a pool in time.  "During your observations did you see an unguarded Yeerk pool?"

Fiona looks at her oddly. "No, although I don't know what good that'd do you here. The Yeerk pools I saw were on Earth. This is the host I came in. I haven't had a chance to look around."

She pauses in her building and turns to the bartender. "Got any shorter straws?" When the bartender hands her a new box, she opens it and begins standing those on their ends, forming the square walls of her castle. "Much better."

((Post for Keshin? ))

Mar nods at Salem's response and closes his eyes, trying to clear his head of worry. The machine was almost uncomfortably accurate. "Show current psychological state of both avatar and the antimatter field. Organize in a similar matter as the physical data. Bring forth the instructions so that we can interpret the data, but also attempt to translate it into a form the users can understand."

Mar then opens his eyes and watches the huge volume of data engulf the screen. Most of it is displayed in the form of vast colors and shapes, although there are a few disconcerting images. One of the images appears to depict a young child glaring up angrily with tear-filled eyes at what's probably his father. Mar winces upon seeing this image. Another image displays a vast metropolis, glittering triangular skyscrapers and black ships as far as the eye can see. Mar glances over the swaths of color and shape, nodding, almost trying to hide the clearer images.

"The pictures and imagery in front show...what I am feeling and what I have been doing," mutters Mar, blushing as he shoves the image of himself kissing Elayne away. "It says that I am...confused about my relationship to the Highest self and unsure if I want to go back. This is...accurate. The...data on the Highest self you may interpret for yourself. I do not want to get into detail."

"Would you mind looking around?" Taylis asked apprehensively.  "I could keep an eye on your host and I could do a favour for you too."

"It doesn't work like that. My host has to die first before I can leave it. And that's not due to happen until..." Fiona turns on the stool to look at the door, then around at the rest of the patrons in the bar. She sighs, turning back around. "Until further notice." She pauses, then points at the bartender. "You could always ask him."
