<Right,> Terenia says, trying to relax. It's not easy. She was never comfortable being outside of a host for extended periods of time - never feeling entirely at home with her nothlit form. To top it off she has no idea what the condition of her host is. With luck she is fine, but luck has not been on Terenia's side lately. Or ever, really.

<I guess I don't really have any choice but to stay here anyways,> Terenia says darkly. <I just love being helpless.>

Efaen's deep unconsciousness seems to have broken. Behind closed lids her eyes move side to side, indicating that she has risen to a lighter sleep, one filled with dreams.

Mar frowns at this mention of Myitt, unsure how to react. Every time he comes close to Elayne, he becomes lost in his mortal impulses and thinks of nothing but enjoying her company. Yet despite these wishes he is something far greater outside this brief time at the Bar. That something has a close connection with Myitt. That Yeerk...she loathes every fiber of my being. I am drawn to her, yes...but what person in their right mind would follow a woman that loathes them? Me...apparently.

Mar paces the room and eventually states, rubbing his forehead, "Elayne...I have no idea what I am. Me, I...I want to protect you. To be with you...and to be Ossanlin's friend. The other me...loves Myitt and couldn't care less about Ossanlin. I have switched between the two constantly in this place, unsure which one is me. Is that question relevant?"

((Skipping to some point in the future, after Silver answers Vogefac's question... :P ))

Lieutenant Colonel Vogefac walked up to Frederick, "Did the first person you went to see happen to be that Andalite/Human I saw when this whole thing started?"

The Breet walked into the strange establishment. Vissi Ya-Wiq was one of a dying race. All the Breet's allies had all but disappeared on the trade-route between Breea, Trws and Chanus-Wa'. Now, it was all the Breet could do to survive. Three ships, 506 individuals. Traversing the galaxy.

Now, Tycoon Brett Xi-Jug gave him orders to leave the ship and come down here. The Breet were searching the galaxy, looking for a friendly species to share a home-world with. None so far. Vissi Ya-Wiq was here to ask around...

But first, a well-deserved drink.

"Bartender, Daankin liquor. Vep-lar.", He said. He ruffled his big fluffy wings and folded them up. His scaly, two toed feet were freezing, and his snout was aching. After the Kynynyt was destroyed, it's crew had been forced to bunk in the Vololuk. Vissi Ya-Wiq had been relegated to cramped, unkindly quarters with his new cabinmate, Becka Lo-Ke.

He picked up the glass of alcohol and sipped at it.

Illim raises an eyebrow, torn between being irritated and amused.

Finally, he says, "Well, if this is the big one, than I guess it deserves some big names. I'll give you the frequencies, but I want something first."

His hard tone becomes a shred more desperate. "You must have some remote assignments or something. I've only been out of the Peace Movement for two days, and already the inactivity is killing me. I get why I can't help you directly, and I agree it's a problem. But I want some direction here."

He leans back and folds his arms across his chest. "This is win-win for you, Myitt. Come on."

Tora frowns at Myitt. <How can he hope to help when no one wants him? He has ruined his chances with the Peace Movement and the Empire, both,> she says in thought-speak so as not to interrupt their conversation.

"I don't know," Elayne sighs. "It's just... well, I know this is all transient. Fleeting. If you left, that'd be it for us." She smirks. "Seems like there's always a catch, doesn't it? You find someone you like... but."

Myitt glances at Tora off-screen, then looks back at Illim.

"You want an assignment?" Myitt repeats skeptically.  "Or do you want a suicide mission?  Because let me tell you, I can find one of either."

---

Corliss backs his palps away from Terenia and waggles them in a way that indicates consternation.

<I don't think you're helpless,> he replies.  <Well.  At least not beyond the physical.  You always have a choice, Terenia.  I just can't make you choose.>

"An assignment of the non-death-inducing kind would be preferable," Illim smirks. "If you believe my story, anyway, you know I've already risked a lot for the war effort, and I'm willing to take action. I just need direction."

Tora stares at Myitt. <Do you truly have an assignment for him?> she asks skeptically.

Morgan walked down the hatchway from his ship at a slow pace. He was still feeling slightly lightheaded, but not nearly as bad as he was before.

He only hoped that while he was confined to sickbay nothing had happened to Silver. If anything had happened, Morgan had a hunch who he would have to go after.

"Speaking of which," Morgan muttered, "where is he?"

Fredrick reached the area where Morgan's ship was, and noticed the guy outside. He did't look like he was in tip top shape, which was both good and bad. He likely wouldn't be in a good mood, but he was also less likely to attack. He started walking towards morgan, wondering how he would explain things. He could tell the truth, but would Morgan even believe that?

Morgan saw Fredrick approaching and immediately tensed up. However, he was still in no condition to take on anyone. And besides, Asda had given him orders to take it easy for a while. The doctor could be pretty pushy when she put her mind to it.

Morgan checked his side for his weapon and cursed under his breath when he realized he hadn't put it back after his stay in sickbay.

"What is it you want?" Morgan asked.

Fiona heaves a sigh, giving up. If he misses her, it's his own fault.

She slips out of the booth and walks over to the bar. "Barkeep!" She leans on the bar. "Look, I'm only going to go over this once, so pay attention, okay?" The bartender just continues drying a glass. Fiona takes this as affirmation. "Good. I want a cheeseburger. Medium. On a sesame seed bun. I want cheddar cheese, a little ketchup and a lot of mayonaise on it. And one kosher dill pickle on the side. Whole." She pauses. "And I want it all well before the expiration date. Oh, and another glass of water. Clean this time."

She turns on her heel and heads back to the booth, choosing to sit with her back to the door this time.

Fredrick stopped just close enough to Morgan where he could talk normally. "I came to apologize. I've done some bad stuff here. Hell, I've done bad stuff at a lot of places. I just wanted to let you know that I haven't been myself for a very long time. I became associated with a higher being that takes people and changes them to its own design, but I recently escaped that. I'm going to be leaving soon, and I just wanted to make sure there wasn't too much animosity between us. I'm sure your daughter will vouch for me when she wakes up, as well as a few other people."

Morgan just stared for a moment. Was this for real?

"Son," Morgan said, "I've been around the 'verse for a while now. And just walking up to someone who's done the things you have and saying 'my bad' doesn't always cut it. Especially when one of the people involved was my daughter."

"I understand, but my story is rather strange." Fredrick said. He figured he may as well say it, even if Morgan didn't believe him. "A long time ago I met this guy that served The One. When I said I'd join for protection, he did something that ripped my soul out of my body, and left a presence that served The One. So really while my body has been running around causing problems, I've been trapped in another place watching more souls get pulled in with me. Whether you believe that or not, I'd still like to do something to try to make up for it before I leave. At least enough so no one chases after me."

I searched for Frederick telepathically.

I walked up to him. He was talking to the Minotaur. I walked up to him. He was apologizing for harming silver.

"I would like to have your forgiveness as well. Frederick and myself are making amends before we leave."

Tora temporarily blocks the audio in the transmission and glances at Tora.

"No, of course I don't," Myitt hisses. "Unless we ask him to assassinate the whole bloody Council."  She activates the audio and turns back to Illim, smiling.
