"Yes, eminence." I ran towards the metamorph, and aimed every part of my body at him: Horns down. Arms out. Toe claws in the open, with precise aim for his throat.
<I am Dyvinia Ku, Matriarch of the Danger's Bane. You may address me as Preeminence.> I told the human.

Just before the whip caught her around the throat she called out another word before her air was cut off. Her staff shot sparks of lightening from it as she found she couldn't look away. She felt some urge to fall to her knees and tried to resist.

AAAARGH!

Tangled again! This time in the hands of the enemy! No, the tendrils.

My arms. My Legs. My neck. I was helpless, once again! It was unbearable..

Helpless...again? No, my master had simply trapped me to enlighten me. So I would not hurt him before I learned the wonderful truth.

"You..kkkhhan noooaught defaeyt the One!" I cried, strangled.

No...he had captured me. He had done it on purpose...I remembered..."who will offer them selves as a sacrifice."

This was wrong! How could I...how could I have harmed the poor human female. The one who saved me. This metamorph...the one who was working side-by-side with me to destroy the Vampire...

The Monster.

{Wait!} I begged telepathically. The evil urges still held me, but my psionic abilities were already beginning to strangle them as this creature was me, {I will not harm you...or the Girl! I was... possessed! Please! Spare me, and we can work together to save the girl!}

The lightening made Fredrick hesitate to come closer. The whip was, however, damaged by it. It began to loosen as it tried to get away but also hold her as its master willed. "Drop the staff. Relax. Everything is fine. The fight is over. Now rest." He said. he willed her to focus only on him, and tune out everything else. Just like with Terenia.

He was unable to look and see how well the reptilian was doing again the hulking brute. he couldn't afford to break eye contact with artemis.

All she could see were his eyes. She gave an involuntary step forward. She tried to pull but an odd feeling of peace rushed through her. Her grip on the staff loosened a bit.

Possessed??? I hesitated. It's a Vampire. A sacrificial circle. Just like a hive-mind... Kill the queen, then deal with the drones...
I halted consuming his whole form, but most of the damage was done. His arms were within me, leaving only bloody stumps behind, but it was enough. His genetic memories flooded me and I saw that he was telling the truth from within his own memories. His genetic coding adding to the multitude of others already within me. It was not enough to bring my devastation to full power, but it was enough for something small, albeit, effective.

"For the sake of you, as well as my conscience," I say to the lizard-thing, letting his injured body fall to the ground, "I hope you heal like the lizards where I'm from."

With that, I turn my full attention towards the Vampire. Time to cut the head off the snake.
He was focused on the girl with the staff, advancing towards her.

Slamming my bladed right arm into the ground, I focus again on the organic spikes, pushing them through earth and dirt until they are directly beneath the Vampire. With that, I let a multitude of 10-foot spikes erupt from the ground, beneath his feet.

While i waited, looking at doom's impenetrable emotionless eyes, I reached out to the girl. I meant to...merely express regret for what I had done.

I found instead, she was under a similar spell.

{No!} I yelled to her, {Resist! What is good is bad! You cannot believe what you feel! Emotions...let go of you emotions! Be logical! This mast...maste...mons ter tried to kill you! He cannot hold anything favorable for you!}

Then, back to the eyes, {Please! I promise! What must I do! Make your decision soon! The girl faces a fate worse than death!}

Then, I saw his eyes flicker. He released me, only with these words: "For the sake of you, as well as my conscience, I hope you heal like the lizards where I'm from."

I fell to the ground. I couldn't. I hadn't even realized how badly I was hurt. His saliva secreted a thick, pain numbing solution. I tried to walk on the stumps that were now my legs. I couldn't. But the Vampire was in sight....

I reached out toward him. Embraced the new anger and emotional fury, and used it to strengthen my psionic attack.

{Die monster,} I said, {Die. The world will not miss you. I will not miss you. I can only hope that you 'One' will not miss you.

I grabbed at his whole body, as I had with the girl...not just normal pain...I assaulted him not from the everyday three dimensions...no, I reached out and pummeled him all over, from those invisible dimensions that were all locked up in themselves...and waited for him to die.

Fiona ignores her. "Dyvinia Ku, huh? Well, nice to meet you. I'm Fiona, Matriarch of Absolutely Nothing. You may address me as Fiona."

Her hearing picked up another voice than the soothing voice that promised no more pain and sorrow. This other voice said the soothing one lied. It was distant and ahe stopped in her steps.

Fiona ignores her. "Dyvinia Ku, huh? Well, nice to meet you. I'm Fiona, Matriarch of Absolutely Nothing. You may address me as Fiona."

I humphed, <I shall address you as 'Human' if it is all the same to you.> I said sarcastically.

He was close. Just a few steps more. The whip helped by ensnaring her legs, and pulling at her staff arm. But before he could reach her, he felt the earth move beneath him. Spikes erupted from under him! Wounding him worse than he was. One of his legs may have been broken. He looked to his servant for help, but not only was the reptile severely damaged, he was resisting the force of the void! Fredrick should have ripped at least part of his soul out instead of waiting until later. A new psionic attack hit him, and he screeched in pain! He couldn't do this anymore. He had to retreat. His whip came to help, snapping him out of the pain. His last bit of energy was spent getting ut of the spikes. He fell into the lake, and sank into its depths.

He was a Vampire. He didn't need to breath unless he wanted to talk or seem more alive. These creatures were too powerful to fight in force. He let the dark lake hide him.

He fell! He fell and fell into the lake! We were victorius!

I had to apologize personally to my fellow warriors. I pulled myself towards them. I used my horns, and whatever pitiful excuse I had left for arms and legs. My tail was to short. Reptilinod do not have long tails. Just enough to balance.

I continued to pull myself toward the metamorph and the girl...

"Whatever floats your boat, Dyv," Fiona says, shrugging. "People have called me worse things."

I watched as the Vampire pulled himself off the impaling spikes, throwing himself into the water. Hide and seek, is it? There was no way I was letting some... hive-mind escape. I knew all to well the threat that posed to a world.
Retracting my blade from the ground and without hesitation I run into the lake, my biomass and carapace weighing me down, allowing me to walk on the lake bed.
Where are you, you manipulative son of a...

It didn't matter how long it took. I was going to find him and consume him, piece by piece. I didn't care if his brain was dead or alive, he was going to tell me everything he knew, one way or another.

Strong. This human was strong. She countered me in some way –– deflection, reflection, absorption –– at every move.

Perhaps she was not so bad.

<Fiona...I have heard...better names. But then again, I have heard worse. And I would rather be called Dyvinia or Ku than 'Dyv' if you are going to refuse to address me properly...Fiona.>

The metamorph jumped in after the body for Zetylon knows why. I would talk to him later.

I managed to shuffle up to the girl, and lift my head up. In a humble position, one cannot help but be humble.

"Uh...excuse me...I fear you require an apology. I...I attacked you out of context. If I had reasoned with myself sooner, I could have broken off his hold. I must convey to you my sincere apology. I would understand completely if you never spoke with me. You don't even know me. And I would not take it personally. However...I require some, er, assistance? I need some one to...escort me to my ship so that Doctor Hirojan can fix my injuries. If you would be so kind?"
