((Congrats, Parker!))

Corliss hurries back to the Mirage from the Skimmer, crashing through the woods with his arms full of supplies.

He jogs up the Mirage's ramp and into the cabin, out of breath and covered in leaves and scratches from branches.  

He turns on his heel and heads into the med bay, brushing past Parker's hulking form.

"What happened?" he asks Terenia, as he lays out several items onto a small space near a washing unit.

To Alic, Myitt replies, "You can come with me to the bar if you'd like, but I won't take long," she says, heading for the hatchway and down the ramp.

((Congrats Parker! And keep trying Chad, you'll get there!))

Tamora gives The Director an impassive look, aware of the fact that he is baiting her in an attempt to keep the conversation going. She considers ignoring him, but decides against it. This is the person offering her a ride home, after all.

"What saying?" she asks, humoring him.


All of the color has drained out of Terenia's face and she does not move from the half-crouched position that she took when trying to lift Ossanlin's human form. Even when Parker enters and lifts the body for her, returning him to his support with no trouble whatsoever, she does not budge. Now that Corliss has returned she fixes her hollow-eyed gaze on him, looking not unlike a caged animal.

"I...he..." she stammers, trying to force her brain back into working order. Her teeth are chattering and goosebumps have risen on her arms.

Why is this bothering me so much? she has the presence to wonder before trying again.

"He woke up," she says in a slightly clearer, but nevertheless shaky, voice. "He woke up and he saw me and...he fell. He fell trying to get away from me. I think...I think the fall knocked him unconscious again."

"You know I'll do what I can to help," Elayne tells Mar. She glances at The Director, but he seems to have dismissed Mar. With that, she puts a hand on Mar's shoulder, guiding him to face the door. "Did you ever find that doctor the man who was helping Ossanlin mentioned?" she asks quietly. "I was surprised Terenia was helping out, although it looked a little grudging."


Tora wordlessly follows Myitt and Aliciana out of the Bug, the loose sole of her right Converse still slapping her heel with every step. Sufficiently distracted by what Myitt has said about being unable to find Keshin, for once she does not hear it. Something seems amiss; Keshin could not have simply disappeared.

The potential implications of Alic's words disturb her as well; had she been suggesting that she is fearful to wander on her own? What kind of Andalite pride was that? Tora gives a sharp sigh through her nose and shakes her head. I likely misinterpreted her.

((Not much for Keshin to do until Salem comes back to the ship. Then we'll get back to business. ^__^ ...and neither do you, Mar. XD))

Mar slowly wanders towards the door with Elayne, giving her a weary smile. It has been an incredibly long day, one filled with the use of his broken powers. To some extent he's baffled by how tired he feels, but the other part of him is used to it. He has been mortal for some time now.

"I did find the doctor, actually," states Mar carefully. "But Ossanlin had already moved by the time I made it there. Hopefully she found his body. As for Terenia..." Mar chuckles nastily. "...I don't believe for a moment that she's doing it without some sort of pretense. That creature doesn't care about anyone besides herself."

The Director gives an insincere look as though he's thinking earnestly about which saying he meant. He says, "Oh you know: 'In for a penny, in for a pound', 'Pretty penny', 'A penny saved is a penny earned', and inversely, 'A Penny saved is nothing in the real world', 'Penny pincher', 'Penny wise and pound foolish'. I mean there are so many; but for this situation, I'd have to go with," he drops his sarcasm and asks sincerely, "A penny for your thoughts?"

At Salem's call, Al let the paddle ball game fall to his side and began watching the inside of the ship. Finally, he spotted a pinkish figure skating through the luminescent woods displayed on the walls.

"Veer right, and we're in the clearing," he said. The pink figure that represented Salem turned towards the ship, and a few seconds later, Salem turned off the skate boots and jogged up the ramp.

"Get us in the air. I think Temrash knew where I was headed," Salem said to Al.

"Good to see you too," Al said as he chucked the paddle ball aside and went to sit in the pilot's seat, the ship's ramp closing behind him. The ship lifted off and began to skim the tops of the trees, moving north, keeping the bar on their right.

Salem turned to Keshin and smiled. "Sorry about that. I was momentarily detained. You feelin' alright?"

(Thanks for the support. Shall I have Temrash wake up on his own, or wait for someone to find him? Either way he will want to make preparations before hunting Salem again.)

((Would Myitt be able to see Salem emerge near his ship before she, Tora and Alic reached the bar?  I'm not sure exactly where Salem's ship is.))

((Salem's ship is actually not visible from the bar- Al parked in a clearing a half mile away. Temrash might be visible in the forest near the bar, though, as might the remnants of the smoke cloud Salem used.))

Myitt's boots crunch along through the gravelly dirt parking lot. 

"Hey, do you guys see that?" she asks, nodding up at the tendrils of purple and grey smoke rising up from the trees nearby.  She looks back at the others, and heaves a sigh.  "I guess we'd better go see what it is...just watch your backs, I won't have any more friends dying on me today.  All right?"

Myitt leads the way toward the forest's edge, following the haze of smoke.  As she approaches she covers her mouth with her left jacket sleeve, drawing her Dracon in her right hand. 

She coughs and winces at the smoke, which has now mostly dissipated but still hangs in the air with an acrid and unpleasant odor. 

"Hello?" she calls, waving the Dracon around.

Temrash lay on his back unconscious on the forest floor, looking worse for wear since Myitt last saw him because of the poison. He still held his dracon, indicating that he had been in a fight with someone. Unfortunately since Salem had been air skating, there were no tracks leading from there. The only semblance of a trail would be whatever foilage he disturbed on his way west.

Myitt approaches Temrash and frowns down at him, looking around cautiously.  It could be some sort of trap. 

She kneels down and presses her palm against the middle of Jagill's chest, then against his right side.  Both hearts were beating, and judging from the Dracon and the sheen of yellowish sweat he had been in a fight. 

"Temrash," she says loudly, pressing a hand against Jagill's leathery cheek.  "Jagill.  Wake up, it's Myitt."

[Chad32]

Temrash woke up a bit to the sound of Myitt's voice, and opened his eyes to see a blurry Human shape kneeling over him. He tense and sat up quickly, but that gave him a headache. After focusing a bit, he noticed who it was.

"Ugh. Myitt. I'm getting old and rusty. Not my old self. Salem helped Keshin escape, and I tracked him into the woods. I managed to get the better of him and was escorting him at dracon point, but lost him. He has a number of gadgets with him. I think he poisoned me. I'm tired, my head hurts, and I'm unprepared."

"I'm going to need better equipment to deal with this. Better ship and better tools. Right now I don't know what this poison is going to do to me. I'm sorry about Hadrin. I should have been more cautious. This wouldn't have happened ten years ago. I was more ruthless then."

[Myitt]

"Whoa, whoa, slow down," Myitt says calmly.  She shakes her head.  "I am sorry about Hadrin and Justin, as well.  Where are Salem and Keshin now, do you know?"
