Thanks, Guy for the prodding. I'm setting it up
now, sorta-liveblogging in this post.

1530Z: Just paid NFS. Registered rafaudio.nfshost.co
m Now waiting for the DNS changes to trickle down, which should happen by 1540Z.
1532Z: DNS is good! Server's live. Now uploading site.
1538Z: Interesting that I'm following the instructions I wrote Richard a while back. But first, I need SSH, so setting up that.
1550Z: SSH lives. Installing FTP client. Technically, I could teach myself to use the command-line one again, but I'm lazy. Kinda surprised that I didn't already have gFTP installed--and that FF doesn't support uploads.
1557Z: Tarball transfered. Unpacking, then setting up database.
1603Z: Ordered database. This costs $0.01 per day, by the way.
1608Z: Database is running. Now doing Drupal setup.
1643Z: Site is running, though in "maintenance mode" (only admins can login). Drupal has detected security updates, so I'm going to install those next.
1700Z: Just issued the remote wget command to transfer the new files from Drupal's website to NFS. This is the first time I've transfered data from one really fast webserver to another. At home I'm happy to d/l at 500KB/s. Speed on that transfer? 3000KB/s. Nice!
1726Z:
http://rafaudio.nfshost.com/drupal/1750Z: It's online. I'm going to make a thread for registration, then have a late lunch. Expenses so far: NFS server, 1.2 cents. Payment fee, 80 cents after instant rebate. Lol at that.
http://rafaudio.nfshost.com/drupal/Note: leaving the /drupal part off leads to a non-helpful error page. I'll fix that when I have a chance.
