Ladies and gentlemen...
« on: December 12, 2008, 03:23:28 PM »
Bonsoir! (cause it's 9pm here)

I'm not totally new on this forum^^ I've already posted a few times here, a few months ago...
Then i stopped cause I had exams and as I am a very hard-working girl... (well not really but nobody needs to know the truth^^)

So I guess i have to introduce myself again  :)

I'm a French girl from France, I am 19 but look 16 ( Grrr ).
I studied English and Japanese last year, but i stopped and decided to study something new. I moved from Toulouse to Lyon where I am currently studying economics and mathematics applied to economics at Lyon III, the university where Dameg comes from.
My lecturer in macroeconomics is a keynesian fundamentalist and I love writing down some of his sentences.
My favorite:
" Who do you prefer to choose as a hero, Keynes, who really tried to improve humans' fortune, or criminals? (criminals here = liberalists)

Ahlala...
Unfortunately, all my lectures are not that funny...

Whatever!
So i fell into animorphs at the age of 9. I went crazy about them, and i ended up falling in love with Aximili.
And then K.A. Applegate killed Aximili, which made me want to kill K.A. Applegate...
So no, i have never and will never read Everworld.

Otherwise, what can I add?
I'm a bit crazy about Australia, i don't know where this passion does come from :p Even Australians are not crazy about Australia ^^
I wish I could go back to this country, go to a concert of the Cat Empire and eat vegemite (huh well, i'm removing that part ^^)

Pink Piggy: Anyway, these are standard assumptions in economics. I have no problem with them. Quantum theory also seems weird but it is accepted, that is the way of science.
Brown Piggy: Quantum theory makes no claim about the motivations or welfare of quantum particles.
Pink Piggy: You just do not understand the mathematics involved. This is typical uninformed criticism of economics.

?????

??????????????!????????????????????????????…

Welcome!

I've studied French and Japanese a little, but never enough to really be comfortable with either language.  It didn't help that my French teacher spent most of class talking about her pet horses or yelling at us in German.  Interesting times.

I'm glad to hear that you can laugh about Keynes.  Lately, with the American President-Elect talking about Keynesian policies and idolizing Roosevelt, I'm too worried about a repeat of the failed First New Deal to laugh much.

Oh, but that's awful gloomy of me.  Today is party day!
