I think it was intentional to make sure that we not only didn't know where they were, but didn't know how much time passed, until the end of the book. So they never specified a season, 'cause that would give us an idea of their climate.

Yeah, they did say they were in California.

Maybe they just didn't write about any missions that happened during the summer.  I dunno, I always wondered about that too.

There were some gaps in the books where they didn't mention school for a bit.  I always figured those times they were on summer vacation.  But you would think that they'd have more time during summer and therefore go on more missions...

Yea I think thats pretty much it, they kept alot of things relating to time, like holidays and stuff like that, purposefully vague so we dont know how much time has passed. They didn't mention school in every book tho, there was probably like a dozen that left it out.

As far as weather goes tho there isnt much of a change in cali so that wasnt really an issue

Also with school they skated over the fact that they would be in high school by now lol

yeah, true, they would have moved on. but then again, maybe again it was to protect their identity.

1. KASU - forgot about summer break, or winter break, or spring break, or...you get the idea
2. California sometimes gets a "second" summer in October, so it's often sweltering through to December. *

that's what I'm voting for, at least.

* although last year in December, it DID snow in Malibu...freakishly cold weather for that time of year, though.
