What are the stupidest things done by the Yeerks?

That's not stupid. It's necessary. He had to let go of one brain to get to the other. Yeerks are not so long that they can envelop a good portion of one brain before disconnecting from another. He just didn't expect the "dumb" Hork to think of something like that.

The fact that he did it was kinda stupid.  He didn't have to.  He could have waited, or had his host crippled before leaving it.

I have something for what they didn't do.  When they found out about the peace movement, they could have put new yeerks in hosts to find out the peace movement members.  The hosts memories would have evidence of their betrayal and the new yeerks would report it to V3.
