Animorphs Meets Deep Space Nine
« on: November 17, 2013, 09:03:54 PM »
Imagine the Yeerks on Deep Space Nine, adding to the political intrigue of that show. The Federation not only has one major threat, slow infiltration and subjugation by a superior military force of shapeshifting alien xenophobes but infiltration and subjugation by a secret military force of brain-controlling alien parasites. I'd love to see a Yeerk invasion of the Federation, to test their ideals even more.

Well, thoughts?

That's the fan fiction I've been trying to construct for YEARS. Thought if any crossover of Star Trek with Animorphs, it would be DS9 for those reasons you just mentioned.

Sisko would have to beg the Dominion for help.  (The Yeerks would not be able to control a Founder!).

In this case, the resistance would be led by Odo and other Changelings, who can assume ANY form, not just animals.

The Next Generation had an episode featuring aliens who took over people's bodies (Conspiracy).
