I dont expect much popularity, but I have a question: What is your favorite Animorphs book(s)!?
Book: The Hork-Bajir Chronicles, The Ellimist Chronicles
Favorite scene: (HBC) ~ Aldrea morphs Alloran. (TEC) ~ Toomin tricks Father.
Why is it your favorite book: (HBC) ~ The book documents one of the most momentous times in the Animorph universe –– the infiltration of the Hork-Bajir home-world. It also chronicles the action-packed adventures of Aldrea-Iskillion-Falan and Dak Hamee, trying to stop the Yeerk Invasion and the Andalite Quantum Virus, as well as their growing love for each other that eventually turns into a muddled kind of romance, and eventually their marriage and having a child together.
(TEC) ~ Tells the tale of the very beginning of Animorphs –– the origin of the most powerful being in our Galaxy, the savior of Earth, the Andalite Homeworld, and the Hork-Bajir race. The sad story of Toomin and Aguella's love interest and Aguella's death. The death of the wondrous Ketrans by the hasty, non-negotiable Capasins. Toomin's rebirth as the Ellimist,
the mechanical wonder of many species memories and life.
And then the Ellimist goes
through a wormhole becoming a supernatural being, able to pull on the strings of time themselves.
Why do you like those moments in the books: (HBC) ~ Aldrea has to trick the guards into thinking she's a larger, more powerful, higher ranking( and slightly off balance) Male, while not conjuring suspicion about Dak going in with her. All-in -all, a very funny moment.
(TEC) ~ It's a moment, also one of the first for Toomin, of victory. He sees that Father has no
sense of beauty or wonder, so he uses the seemingly mystical art of music to make a game that Father can not possibly beat him at.
