There's no way I'd limit myself to only a few morphs. I'd basically acquire everything I could get my hands on, and hope there's no upper limit to the number of morphs I could acquire.
That said, I'd probably start with these:
Battle Morph: Lessee... I'd want something powerful (not fighting as a hawk), with good senses (no rhinos), good endurance (pretty much eliminates the big cats), likely a predator to capitalize on killing instinct and reaction times (sorry, gorilla), relatively small so it could be used indoors if necessary (no elephants or grizzlies for me), fast in case I need to get out of the area quickly (that takes me out of crocodile territory)... I guess I'm looking at a canine, and the best one for the job is likely the
Gray Wolf. I know Cassie takes a lot of flak for her battle morph choice, but I honestly see hers as being far and away the most versatile. Unless... could I morph Andalite?
Stealth: Something with good senses, but capable of being sneaky indoors... probably a
damselfly. They're visual hunters, like dragonflies, but small enough that they might go unnoticed. Asmodeus has a good point, though- a
Brown Recluse would be a hella good stealth morph as well.
Aerial: Well, the series definitely biased me towards birds of prey, and I can't deny that they'd be useful... maybe the
Elf Owl? It's small enough to be inconspicuous, and I could probably get close enough to people to eavesdrop without attracting a bunch of attention, unlike the eagles. On the other hand... David's philosophy of using a powerful morph since it is, after all, a war, makes sense to me. A
Harpy Eagle morph would be great, methinks.
Aquatic: I'm squeamish about both mammals and sharks because of the simple fact that they both have breathing restrictions (mammals, such as dolphins, need to surface, whereas sharks' gills are only effective if they're in constant motion). Of course, I'd want something small enough to use in river and lake environments, capable of surviving in fresh or salt water, with decent endurance and speed, and not something that's going to get snapped up by a hungry predator... sharks and aquatic mammals are probably the best balance, all told... and being a Bottlenose Dolphin just sounds like so much fun
Either that or a
Bull Shark.
Therapeutic: Anything with wings. Or a dog. I'm pretty sure I was a beagle in a past life anyway
