Speaking of Megamorphs, though, I'd personally consider MM#1 to be filler.

I agree. Same for MM2.

So what if person got a morph in one book and used it in a much later book? That's way too remote.
This great evil - where's it come from?
How'd it steal into the world?
What seed, what root did it grow from?
Who's doing this?
Who's killing us, robbing us of life and light, mocking us with the sight of what we mighta known?
Does our ruin benefit the earth, aid the grass to grow and the sun to shine?  Is this darkness in you, too?  Have you passed through this night?

"I hated him starting from when he put cassie as his least favorite, even below the auxilaries. Ok, so that's not really fair, since everyone can have their own opinion, but I still didn't like him. After that, I really don't like him."

I never even ranbked the auxilaries. You have me confused with someelse who has Cassie as their least fave.

Also, you can't dislike a person for having a different opinion.

which is why I said it wouldn't be fair...

oh really. sorry then. I apologise. still, you do hate cassie.

now back on topic.

getting morphs shouldn't count as being filler. they get fly morphs in #6 but that's considered filler.

I really wouldn't count 6 as filler. It gives you insight on how the host feels while being controlled, not to mention introduces Crayak, albeit briefly.

No way is The Capture filler. We not only got Crayak but alot more insight into the Yeerk-Andalite conflict revealed in The Alien.

Yeah, the Capture can't be a filler...I don't really know how necessary it is to call the Megamorphs books fillers since they aren't technically part of the regular series. MM#1 is really the only one that doesn't like reset...MM#2 - They lose their dino morphs anyway...MM#3 - They stop it from happening and MM#4 they don't even remember.
There's a method to my madness, I just haven't figured it out yet.

Beyond character development, the only books that really stick out in my mind as filler are #11, #24, #28, #36, and #42. I liked the Helmacrons, but they were more fun books - Rachel doesn't have any character development in her Helmacron book, even though it was very fun to read.

Probably number 2, because I did enjoy the book, despite that many people consider it filler. I think mostly because not much is done with Melissa afterwards. We don't even see her in rachel narrated books, where it was implied that she'd try to patch things up more with her former best friend.

I bet that Rachael was afraid that she might give Melissa too much information about Yeerks and Animorphs.

I feel like #6 the capture and #41 the familiar could be added to that list.
Also, #34 the prophecy should be on the list too.
