Animorphs DVD
« on: October 09, 2011, 08:45:55 PM »
I didn't know where to post this, but I found a site where someone is selling a 3 set DVD Animorphs series where it has all the episodes of the tv show. The person selling the DVDs is a cancer paitent and the money that is spent on the DVD's it will go help pay his medical bills.

Here is the link:

I am under NO way trying to do spam, increase my post rankings or any of that.I am merely posting this because it will maybe give a chance for person to get all the Animorphs episodes on a DVD.

I hope I'm wrong, but the cancer patient story sounds like a scam. No way any distribution company would allow him to profit from their shows.

Also, that DVD cover is fan made (if the MM#4 cover wasn't a dead giveaway). GMcubed made something similar, I believe.

Hmmm very true on that point.I just figured I would post it here in maybe finding out if anyone did buy the DVD set there and if it is really real or as you said,a scam.

The cover is indeed fan made but totally different then what is on it.

The cover has the Animorphs logo on the cover, with a caption of the words"Complete series" on the bottom of the front cover. On the side of the DVD,the words say "Animorphs DVD Series" and on the back of the DVD it has a picture of the Animorphs logo and all the orginial Animorphs(Jake,Cassie,Marco,Rachel and Tobias) in human form.

i believe that the animorphs show was only released on VHS. the guy just illegally burned episodes to a DVD and sold them with a 'fan made' cover.
this isn't anything official, and i'd avoid the site.

Yeah the show was only released on VHS,but from the small piece of paper that came with it,the person said he leased the episodes from the company to allow him to put them on DVD's and sell them. While I don't really believe it,the DVD does work but its also the sign of he did it illegally.

I just put the topic up because it has all the episodes, didn't mean to cause any problems at all and I did feel very fishy about the site from the start.

Scholastic would never allow this. They might donate to his cause, but they wouldn't let him profit off their property directly. This is why I said the cancer thing was a scam. It's not legal, even if you did get homemade DVDs.

I wish they'd do an official release on DVD, but I bet it wouldn't sell, they probably don't think it's worth it.

Yeah I believe this totally,I should have looked into it more then I should.Yes it is illegal that the person is doing it,but I already got it and it works fine.Just be sure if you guys see any like that, know its your own choice if you'll get it or not.

Personally I know I won't.
