disclaimer: my knowledge of percents is always a little sketch, so idk whether those two discounts are applied simultaneously or on top of each other. It may turn out to be a little less than 50%, but that's just such a nice round even number I had to go with it. Either way, it's a good incentive to commit your love to this fandom, right? :)

I replied on the blog, but check to see if they have a cancellation policy and if you can re-order them again (just make sure they are still in stock and on sale if you're going to do that though :P)

If you're looking for the first print, Ebay is the way to go. That's where I got all the ones I was missing.

You call $6.99 a book reasonably priced? I remember when they cost $5.40. After taxes. Hell, I have some of books which a $3.99 sticker on em.

Issam is my real name. Essam is a character from the Animorph books. More specifically:
[spoiler]Visser One's dead lover (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_minor_Yeerks#Essam_293). Pronunciation for both names is the same, which is why I found it hilarious when I first read Visser. I just had to pick it as my screen name, lol. :P[/spoiler]

I know who Essam is. In fact, that was me who added his character infobox a few days ago. I've been going crazy with Animorphs on Wikipedia. Also, I think they're pronounced differently: Essam has a short "e" sound, and Issam, I would think, has a short "i" sound.

and now that I look at the videos, why is Jake blonde? I can't make out tobias' hair, but jake should not be either way.

I doubt the folks at Scholastic are picking the model hair colours based on the TV show actors. If the morphing choices indicate anything, it's that they're using the original books as their guidelines. So it wouldn't surprise me if they got Tobias wrong again. :P

I preordered the first two on Amazon! I was on the fence about it until I saw Michael Grant's videos of the covers. They look so cooooool.

Haha I hate it when other people see when packages and stuff come in the mail for me. Especially my mom who gets super nosey. I'm kind of glad I was home when the SCHOLASTIC box came. Did not feel like explaining :|

I had this problem when I was in high school. My parents would always ask me what I'd be getting in my packages. Letters would "accidentally" open. Eventually they just realized I was a huge geek, ordering geeky things. :P

So far I've noticed

-The scene where Jake "thinks" and Tobias "hears" his thought speech has been changed to say that it only works when you're morphing
-"I have a Sega at home" is changed to "I have a system at home"
-A few grammatical changes, like a comma deleted, the phrase "mall area" changed to just "mall".
-The word "cloned" changed into "fused" to describe Elfangor looking like someone had fused a person and a deer together.
-There is no inset cover picture, and the pages don't "morph" when you flip them.
-The back phrase that everyone knows and loves has been cut down to something to the effect of:
"We can't tell you who we are. Or where we live. It's too risky, and we've got to be careful. Really careful. But everyone is in danger. Yeah. Even you."

I haven't gotten much farther, but it'll be interesting to see what other changes crop up.

Thanks for putting the changes in spoilers! I already know so many details, it'll be nice to have a few surprises when I finally do read them. :P
