Dameg: i adore you, ill be on msn to chat and if you pm me ill always respond. Rich: ill be on raf everday to mod/adminize things its the social aspect of raf im departing from. Raf is no longer my ehome away from home, my hobbies have changed (mtg ftw!), my dearest friends have departed ages ago, and theres too much animosity (spelling?) toward me and others for me to enjoy posting and such. The part that really scares me is the negativity is contagious. It starts in one spot, spreads to another and grows. Im not free of guilt here, ive let myself be involved in some of this. Truthful statement (like it or not): The forum is a shadow of what it used to be. So im not sticking around.

RAF is the best animorphs forum, but the worst social networking site. I doubt i can leave forever but a good break is much needed. Thanks for the support dino.

Dude, why? (I realize the reasons above, I just wanted to show my opposition in a single word, though seeing this long explanation just defeated its purpose, you can ignore the previous statement. ;D )
I can understand your points, life gets in the way of fun. And losing friends is never a fun time. Those that used to always have your back are no longer around to balance the public view, I get that. I just hope you don't leave the social aspect forever.

The main reason this forum is the great place we know is because of the people. There will always be good people here, but it's not the same when people leave. I get that you need a break but the whole forum will suffer if you actually leave.

Oh, but Russ...those who leave never truly leave. They've always left their mark.
RAF might be a shadow of its former self but for those who still call it ehome its unfair to see one of the best members leave.
Not that I'm accusing you...but please think about it.

Someone here: Leaves. FFX: entire generation/town/whatever dies. and it keeps getting worse and worse with both.

Nope, in FFX, villages built up, then Sin came in and tore them down, then The Calm came, and the villages built back up, then Sin comes back and tore them back down. The villages were allowed to build back up.

I like the middle one. The first one looks a little too harsh, the last one is too gentle. I would not glare angrily at someone who goes off-topic (especially since I'm doing it now), but I sure wouldn't wink at them either.

I would say that each one, in the appropriate situation, could be used. i say all three.
