Interspecies relationships have happened, so this is not an outlandish idea. So what would people think of a subplot where some girl thinks Ax's Human morph is hot. So they hit it off at one of those dances, and he starts hanging out with her more and more. After finding out she isn't a controller, that is. How well do you think Ax would hide his identity? What kind of girl do you think would fit Ax best?
I would think someone with a good sense of humor, and possibly laid back attitude. If they made her an important character, I'd try to make her different from Rachel and Cassie, so there would be variety. Like someone who's afraid of bugs, and doesn't care for animals very much.

She's gotta work at Cinnabon, I guess.

That could be another way they meet up. She works there, and he comes by several times a week. Eventually they start talking, and hit it off.

I think, above all, the girl would have to have a sense of patriotic honor. I mean, I think that is what would attract Ax the most, seeing at he's the same.

It would be nice if he was interested due to deeper things than "Me not seen female Andalite in years. Me so horny!"

I think that if something like that ever happened and Jake found out about it he'd tell Ax to stop. And maybe if he wouldn't and she eventually found out the truth about him they'd decided to make her another Animorph or something.

Maybe. They might just try to keep Ax's secret even if she wasn't a controller, after all it'd be really dangerous to try to make a new Animorph just because she's dating the resident alien. Unless she somehow found out that he was an andalite and was okay with it they might just cause her to go insane if they showed her, or worse she'd think it was a mean joke when they told her and tell all her friends what a jerk her boyfriend was and some of thsoe friends might be controllers.

I've seen him date Melissa Chapman in fanon, but I don't think he would've pursued her due to how dangerous it was.
BUT, he was concerned for her in #31 when he was torturing her father, so I can see how some subtext shippers went a little crazy with that. ;)

Okay judging from the treatment of inter-species relationships in the books they mostly spring from emotional attachments also I don't beleve this behavior is at all common among andalites we only have two known cases (Elfangor and Aldrea) and the fact that both origionally thought the idea of having feelings for someone of another species was ridiculous (and possibly a more) make it unlikely. Also the despriate andalite theory is pointless because the andalites contain less hormones than humans body we know this because Ax is not used to adrenline and finds it distracting. Also andalites are remarkably controlled emotionally.
However it is not an impossiblity. Although there may not seem to be a regular oppertunity. Ax may attempt to date as a way of understanding human culture.

Yeah. It might be more in character for Ax do do it as a social experiment, rather than actually developing a crush on someone.

It could be that he goes on a date just to see what it's like, then enjoys it so much that he agrees to go on another. Eventually he forgets that it's just supposed to be an experiment, and starts falling for the girl. When or if his friends find out, he'll say it's just a social experiment. He may even mention that the others hang out with non-Animorphs as well, and use that to justify what he's doing.

Yeah, that makes sense. Unless she's older than he is, but someone who's older probably wouldn't be so accepting of the alien bit.
How old would the animorphs be in this scenario?

Maybe she's 16 maybe the animorphs are 15 or 16.

Yeah. A good name for him to play with using his mouth sounds. Something exotic with something like three syllables. Electra?

That sound fine. I had a crazy thought last night where her initials match Ax's. So her middle name starts with E, and her last name starts with I. That might be too weird, though.

I think he should be alone, and that none of the Anis know until after a few dates have already gone on. It builds drama that way, and gives him a reason to not just obey Jake and call things off.

Oh, you want to do it early? I was thinking a year or two into it. Maybe Marco would be best. He might be too interested in trying to hit on the girl himself to think about the ramifications of her going out with Ax.

Marco would be more likely be checking out a new vid game than returning a shirt. If he went with Rachel, then she'd return a blouse, but Marco would be cruising the GameStop checking on a reserved game, or checking on the release of the next Metal Gear.

Ax could say to Marco that he's craving some Cinnabon, as they get to the counter, Marco points out the chick, then use the above idea!

You can make the experiment thing genuine, or you can just have him say it as an excuse. Either way. Maybe a little of both.

Ax's morph is considered attractive by most humans. The Cinnabon shop however would normally be distracting to Ax. So I think once they get chatting Marco should kind of manipulate Ax into asking her out (he pitties Ax for not catching on) and Ax does not really know what is going on until Marco explains it to him When they are leaving the mall. Then he undertakes it as an experiment... at first.

eh, I think the date should be her idea. I like the idea of Marco trying to score with her and she shuts him down and goes after Ax.

yeah, and in the tv show episode tobias, he could have hooked up with that girl who gave him free ice cream, just as tobias said.

(Yes, the andalites have holographic games it is mentioned in the Hork-bajir cronicles)

You need to actually read the whole post. I said they go to the mall so Marco can check on a game reserve, they then move on to Cinnabon, where Alexa works. Gamestop (Software Etc.) was a reason for them to be at the mall in the first place.

Marco and Jake are gamers, Ax is going with Marco to check on a game. Ax isn't going to Gamestop (Software Etc.) for himself.

I think it's best to let the reader divine what Ax sounds like. Forcing accents can turn some people off.

She should have red hair and blue eyes, that's pretty unusual. You don't want her to turn into a Lily Evans-in-fanon knockoff Sue.
Why not Radio Shack? Ax likes Radio Shack a lot.

Ax doesn't have any sense of homour so he will not laugh or even smile, so I think she'll just believe he have the same problem.

Unless she's so sensitive she thinks he won't give up on the joke. Too many stutters makes for annoying reading for me. IMHO. Besides, once Ax is no longer amused by the sound, he doesn't do it again. People with true stutters stutter more often than not, Ax does it sporadically.

She's got to be a little forceful and in control as well since I doubt Ax is going to know what exactly a chick wants to do. Otherwise I can't see how they'd stay a couple long enough for a story.

I'd like to go back to her being different from rachel and Cassie. Instead of being forceful, like rachel might be, I'd make her talkative. She would talk enough about herself that ax gets a good idea of what she likes and wants.

Oh I just had an idea for a line you know how Ax doesn't use contractions and that may be an indicator of English not being the first language? Well what if she comments on it and he says it is his first language because it literary is is first spoken language.

Not entirely (personally I think he looks Armenian), but he morphed DNA that contains hispanic and black qualities, so I can see how it makes sense.

There's a couple approximations and a few unknowns.
*By build I mean: Athletic, stocky, slender, etc.
