Yes, I tried restarting my browser. I even restarted my computer, and it still won't let me do anything for the chat...
All I see is the following screen, whenever I try to enter the random room...even though it says that there are 7 people online :-\

Also, whenever I click on anything other than the "Insert Chat" box, it says "you have tried to open something in a new window, please click on the link instead."

Try clearing cache and cookies (tools remove private data) in Firefox.

I'm having problems with RAF chat.
I'll be chatting, and when I hit the enter button it won't post.
But the main problem is that it freezes, and even if people are talking I won't get it, and I have to log out and log back in... several times -_-

Well, my problem is that my password doesn't work. I have twice tried to get a new one, but neither of those work either. RAFchat fail!

um, not that it matters now, but i was having a problem with the private chat earlier.
refreshed and it worked fine.

the private chat wasn't loading. just a white screen.
refreshing did the trick, nobody else was having the problem anyways.

I tried registering for chat, but it won't send me the email. I'm thinking I'm having problems similar to what some people said previously. Does it just take a super long time to send, or is this a consistant issue?

You might not be able to do anything to this Richard, but whenever I try to go to RAFchat, the loading bar pops up, but it never does anything, and if I try to load a second thing, the second thing goes faster.
Help!

I joined RAF chat a couple of months ago, and it was working fine..but now if i try and log in it says that i've submitted incorrect data... My user name was Nina.. and i've tried all my possible passwords and it still doesn't work.. i also tried re registering and forgot my password, and it didn't send me an email..

My chat isent working... I know my username = BRAD but i forgot my password..
i plugged in my email adress to ask for it and it told me to check my inbox... but nothings comeing through...

Sorry about this guys. There is something wrong with the RAF Chat server. At this time, persons who registered after September will have to re-register. This will be fixed after the host is back up and is fully operational.
If you re-register, and did not get the email, feel free to post here, so that I can activate your account.

I think that because of the hard-drive crash (http://twitter.com/richardonraf/status/8381535219) our host reverted to an older copy of the files. I just came home, so I'm looking into it.
In the mean time, just re-register.

We were having some major problems today. Our fonts kept getting bold/unbold, and italicized, and color disappearing. Underlined too. Glitches? Can it be fixed? We fixed it with the BBC codes, but it got tiring....

Okay, old thread, but still chat issues. The lag on chat seems to be getting worse by the minute. I've been logged on for maybe five minutes, and already everybody else in chat has lagged out multiple times. Not to mention, at times, a post can be sllloooooowwwwwww. I'm not entirely sure what could be done about it, but chat is getting to the point where it's genuinely frustrating to try to use lately.

Ok. If you visited RAF Chat today, then you're probably not redirected to the new RAF Chat server. I can suggest a restart.
If you see my message (left on the Chat) you're viewing the Chat on the new server.

Ok, I should've reported this when I first noticed it(Back about, oh a month or two ago :-] ), but I can't change my RAFchat username, email, or password. I type in the fields, and press submit. It says it finished successfully, but when I check...it's the same. Help pls?

This new forum layout looks pretty, but it takes a really long time to load. It's messing up my computer, and my network. I keep getting angry neighbors telling me off for hogging the bandwidth. Can we please fix this?

Odd. Just ensure the link is not www.chat.animorphsforum.com. The correct link is chat.animorphsforum .com. There's no "www".
Some browsers may try to insert the "www".
If you get that error page again, upload a screenshot.

EDIT: Oh, dangit, Richard; you beat me to it. >_<
For the link, just click in your address bar and erase any 'www.'
For screenshots, do the following:
1. find a key on your keyboard that says "Prnt Scrn" (printscreen) or something like that.
Push it.
2. Open Paint, which is built into most Windows compies.
3. Stretch the white space in paint by clicking and dragging the lower right corner. Get it nice and big.
4. press "Ctrl + v" ; this is the Paste command. It will put the image of your screen on the Paint screen.
5. Save it with a file name you'll remember.
6. Attach it to an email or PM to Richard. Let me know if you need help attaching files; on RAF at least, at the bottom of the PM and Post window, there is an icon that says "Attachments and other options." You'd click that, select 'browse', find the file from Paint, and select it. Then OK, then Post. Some e-mail clients have different methods for attaching, so it's not always quite as cut-and-dried.

Ok, looks to me like your browser (IE) isn't detecting the "." between chat & animorphsforum.com. That's why you're getting the error.
This happens when you click the link at the bottom of the page?
Also, does that error page come up randomly for other websites?

highly recommend yankee clipper 3 (http://www.intelexual.com/products/YC3/ (http://www.intelexual.com/products/YC3/))
when it's running, it remembers multiple items from the clipboard, whether it be text or images. you won't have to worry about overwriting it with control+c or printscreen, and you can save directly from there.
