Most Surprising Moments

What moments maybe weren't your favorite, but surprised you the most in the series? What moments made you read it and go "Wait, what?!" then read it again and still go "WAIT, WHAT?!"

The one that springs to mind for me was Jake getting shot in the head in Megamorphs 3, in George Washington's boat. I mean you knew he'd be okay, but still.

Aria being Visser Three in morph. Toby being "different". Chapman being in AC. Rachel dying. Jake getting shot. Thinking Tobias had died during the David trilogy, and Ax's response being "that is bad.". When the Animorphs get transported to Z-space. Maybe more.

 oh yeah, i definately remembered that. I was like...WHAT THE WORLD?! but I didn't know what was really happening....

 and also the beginning of that megamorphs. I was just clueless!

Most surprising? Probably when Marco went to go save his dad and his dad was about to get a Yeerk in his head. Honestly, I was like: this is not happening.

Also, when they put Visser Three to court in the last book. Also made me go this is so not happening

I was lost during the beginning of that megamorphs too. Like, how does Tobias know the slaves are having a good time? He can't tell. And Jake getting snappy with Ax? what's up with that? Plus him being tempted to hand Cassie over to the SSS. Did I miss reading the last book or something?

Well the first book I read was #5 so I knew he was going to get trapped. I was still a little surprised it happened so early though.

Rachel's death shocked me even though I half knew it was coming. Tobias being "dead" in book 21/21 was the same, although I suspected that he'd be okay I didn't expect that the dead hawk was a different hawk altogether. And Megamorphs#3 was full of surprises (eg. Jake dying) especially the very confusing start to the book. I remember thinking something along the lines of "well I don't know much about American laws, but I'm pretty damn sure they don't have slavery there anymore!"  :P

#8 was the first book I read, so Tobias getting trapped wasn't a surprise.

Though when the Ellemist gave him his powers back, and told him to morph, I thought he meant demorph. Like, Tobias needed to demorph back to his Human self to keep from being eaten.

Yeah, I remember reading that Marco just revealed his entire life story, I was amazed it actually happened. Or when Marco found out about his mom, or when the Nartec showed up, but that was more of a "What is this?" moment

Rachel's death, as shocking as it was, it wasn't really a surprise, was it?!
I remember feeling surprised when Jake got shot in #MM3; when David went around taking down the Animorphs; the way Tobias got back his powers,

But I am going to have to go with the moment in The Absolute, where Cassie stops Jake and lets Tom walk away with the Cube. That was my biggest 'WTF-go-back-and-re-read-disbelief-shocking-unpredictable-unforeseen-slap-me-now-holy-crap!' moment.
