Yeah, bringing Loren back and then doing nothing with her was surprising. Also Edriss' kids made me sympathise with Yeerks who are forced into the war. They can love, and they can care, but they are chained to the corrupted Council.

I liked Edriss before reading Visser, but true, he's amazing in this book ^^ And the kids, his life on Earth before the war... yeah, surprising!

Okay tobias getting traped as a Hawk was continually forshadowed in the first book so no surprise there. I was surprised that his mom was alive though that is what got me.
