Yeah, I live about an hour north of Galveston. One of the girls who evacuated with me lives extremely close to the water and she isn't even allowed to think about going home until tomorrow. We're mostly worried about blown out glass at our places (I live on the third floor, so flooding isn't really an issue). Galveston is BAD. The island is basically a mud pit. But from what I understand other than Galveston and Kemah its just a lot of trees down. Some on houses, most on power lines and whatnot. My cousins house is still one of the only ones with power.

I'll probably head back to my apartment tomorrow to survey the damage. The roads are still too bad for me to make it today. Probably not staying there, though, since there's no power and I only have a few candles and one flashlight. I'll keep you posted. :)

I'm officially home! And I am one of the only people in this part of the city with power - go figure. No school until Monday, so lots of time for me to catch up on the RAF-ness!
