Please do. It's awesome! Just stay away from the Omniverse series

Battlestar Galactica still looks pretty cheap though, Xeno.  I don't mind that because it sort of fits the feel of the thing (I mean, hey, the digital effects on 90s stuff like Buffy, while few and far between, always look awful and it doesn't even matter), but still, you'd sort of want to be able to convincingly convey the larger scope stuff in the second half of the Animorphs story.

Person Of Interest re-watch.  Still stunning as ever.

Definitely watch Ben 10.  Start with the first series, just to get introduced, then skip straight to Alien Force once they deal with Kevin.  Alien Force/Ultimate Alien are awesome.  Omniverse is meh.

To be fair, I always pictured the crazier stuff in Animorphs (The Ellimist, space battles, all of #26) looking like mediocre 90s CGI.  Just how it came across in my head.  XD

Huh, I really remember not liking Ben 10 very much when it came out. Maybe I should revisit it.

Let's be honest, mediocre 90s CGI is the bomb. I would sincerely like to see Animorphs done in that way.

No, those weren't mediocre 90s special effects; those were terrible 90s special effects.

Those were rock bottom 90s VFX.   :P

It's gotta be stylized mediocre, too.  Something engineered to trigger the nostalgia rush without making you want to puke looking at it.  :D

Ehh, the Ani TV digital stuff wasn't really any worse than anything else from the 90s.  In '98 those types of effects were still pretty fresh on TV.

I pictured BSG-reboot-style effects. I haven't actually watched the show, but I've seen clips here and there.

I saw this on r/Animorphs and doesn't this poster give off such big animorphs vibes

Litterally, Animorphs is basically Power Rangers but a whole lot better

Yeah, it really does.   8)  Sure that movie's tone will be infinitely different to Animorphs (at least hopefully, you go all serious with friggin' Power Rangers and it's not gonna work), but it's a cool image.

Kid Me was a little cracked. She apparently thought that the back of Book # 1 sounded almost exactly like the narration for a movie trailer, and so literally played it out beat for beat as if it was one. To the tune of the cheesy Cerebus Syndrome version of Johnny Quest's main theme. Luckily I didn't accompany this with cheesy 90s CGI, but instead with rather photo-realistic images (For a kid)...As if we could actually summon two Andalites to act for us. :P

Also, K.A. Appelgate's initial creeptastic, stupidly-arrogant-yet-competent Visser Three got lodged in my little child brain's collective unconscious as a reference for the character archetype he was (Whom Mar and Jeffrey both source from). Which occasionally makes me wish for an alternate universe where there were no ghostwriters and the quality of the writing was consistent.

As did, actually, Marco as someone to look up to--- Who is more consistently awesome. <3 And Cassie to resemble me. It's interesting when I think about how much impact the series has had on me.
