Things that remind you of Animorphs.

1. The Toy Time Galaxy on Super Mario Galaxy reminds me a lot of the Iskoort planet.

2. The term "earworm" always makes me think of Yeerks

Sooo many things. I've been a Animorphs fanatic since I read the first book waaaay back when.

Any time I see a bird of prey (which is not nearly often enough around these parts)

Whnever I play a Star Fox game (talking animals + space battles)

When I watched Guardians of the Galaxy a few weeks back...

Seriously, McDonalds and Cinnabon, to this day.  Always an almost OCD silent "Happy Meal with extra Happy!" and "Bun-zuh!" thought to myself any time I pass by one.

And the whole "meeting in the war room, ie. Taco Bell, to decide the fate of humanity" dealio.

Seeing police cars and helicopters go by makes me wish I could go car surfing as a bird.

Sad songs on a solo acoustic guitar immediately make me think of the Ellimist Chronicles, when Toomin and Father were playing their little game.  And then thinking about the Ellimist Chronicles makes me think of the last chapter, and then I get sad.  Darn it, now I'm sad again.

I'm constantly reminded of animorphs when watching Falling Skies. The harnesses are basically giant yeerks that go on the back instead of the ear. There's no morphing, but still.

Yeah, Falling Skies is like some halfway point between Animorphs and Terminator.  Really solid show, too, even the teenage characters have become far less annoying as it goes on.  Also, Tom Mason = badass.

And jeez, those special effects on Cochise and the Volm are crazily great, for a TV show.  More movies/shows should do stuff that way, practical/prosthetic effects just touched up with CG later on for facial expressions and stuff.  Exactly how they should have done the Turtles in the new movie.  Cochise 100% of the time looks physical, he has weight and is actually "there" in shot with all the human characters, so much more convincing.

So many things. Like others have said, Cinnabon and birds of prey, since I was a kid reading those books I've never been able to associate those things with anything but Animorphs. But also other things that are maybe exclusive to me, like the smell of chlorine or the beach because I used to read the books constantly in the summers when I was growing up, I'd bring them everywhere.

Yeah, I used to read them outdoors a lot as a kid too, peace and quiet away from hyper younger siblings.  Sort of a reading habit that started there.

Actually just the other day I was browsing my Animorphs collection to see how many I had now (on that note why on earth are books passed 44 so damn expensive?!)

Anyway I found a book that had previously been part of a Library and guess which library it was? Stoke-on-Trent, and that made me think of Visser 3's human morph o.o

They may have just printed fewer copies of the later books, popularity/sales may have been on the downward slide or whatever.  You should be able to pick them up fairly cheap in bundles of various books on eBay or whatever, that's what I did to replace the ones I'd lost a couple of years ago.  You might have to deal with getting a couple of duplicate copies to get the ones you don't have, but it's probably the cheapest and most convenient way to seek 'em out at this point.
