Notice the [applaud] and [smite] buttons below your avatar. That's how you give someone a +1 or -1 karma point respectively, in that particular post.
And about the RAFparty - best thing ever. Normally posts in the Bored Board don't contribute to your post count, but every 3rd weekend of the month (or a specified special occasion, like RAF's 10th birthday that was this May), the RAFparty happens and the posta in the Bored Board are counted. Basically you go:
