Re-reading the series
« on: December 01, 2012, 01:04:00 AM »
Alright, so I just started a re-read starting last week or so. I thought since I loved the books when I was younger (10 or so) that I would love them now. I can tell you, that I love them even more! It's like reading an entire new series, because I hadn't remember probably 90% of what happened in all the books! I'm only starting book 16 now, so try not to post anything from the books after that. Although I have already spoiled some things by reading the forum! I can't believe there is still such a large fan base for Animorphs!

Last thought: the Animorph's is a lot more serious and deep than I remembered it being.

Welcome to the club mate... I've only actually gotten to #45 myself :)

Yeah, we're out there and on the forum! I personally am trying to spread the word here in India, widen the fan base a bit more, coz it deserves one as large as this! :)

I realize I'm a day late and a dollar short, but welcome to the forum. I think that tends to happen with all of us when we re-read the series. We just get blown away by it. I think that's the beauty of it. It's a HUMAN series, and not just a children's series.
Meh.

Just re-read #54. What a disappointing ending.

I guess I found it quite depressing because they all grew up  :(

I'm now on book 46. I wouldn't be this far along quite yet, but the site I'm reading on has some messed up versions of 38-43 and 45. I'm really disappointed I didn't get to read them, and just read the summaries. Especially 45!

*Spoilers*

With Marco having been "killed" and all, I really would have liked to read it!

I'll eventually want to buy all of the Animorphs. I'll have to start at thrift stores and the the internet for what I can't get from there.

I have the ebooks (shh, don't tell anyone :P ) but I'd rather like to collect them all in hard copy. It's so much easier on the eyes... but you cannot believe how hard it is searching for Animorphs in Indian bookstores!!  >:(
