The only thing stopping me from trying to dive bomb some smaller kids loosely holding snacks with their weak little fingers was the urgency of the situation. It wasn't like the world was ending, but we'd been split up, the guards were looking for us and we could end up in some pretty bad trouble. I circled a few times trying to spot Cassie or Tobias with my keen vision but I couldn't see them among the crowds of people. So I gave up, finding my way back to the entrance and spotting Sam, Jake and Marco again. I felt like I could do nothing more in morph so I looked for somewhere to land. Sure enough, there were a few bushes inside the Gardens as well as outside. Like Ax had crawled into one to morph, I landed in one of them a few feet away from my friends and I tried to imagine me demorphing slowly instead of rapid changes occurring. I focused as hard as I could and sure enough, instead of shooting upwards and making the bushes rustle loudly as my body completely changed, I felt my height begin to change slowly. As I attempted to make the change to human without being seen, something occurred to me.
<Oh. Uh, guys?> I addressed the trio already here. <I left my clothes near the big cat enclosures. When I morphed so that we could talk to Ax. Do...do you think that'll be a problem?> Although it was a nice outfit, I could sacrifice it if going back for it would end in disaster. Already traces of my morphing leotard were showing through the fading feathers, similar to a swimming costume but with long sleeves. I could always pretend that I'd come here after gymnastics and forgotten to bring a change of clothes or something.
