I followed everyone, pretty psyched up that I would be the first to acquire my new battle morph, the sleek, deadly jaguar. I also wanted to see Sam in action. I'd seen him run a good distance in a matter of seconds so I couldn't wait to see whether he really was strong enough to wrestle a big cat. Of course, if he wasn't, that would be bad. I could turn into an eagle and distract it...and then get eaten. Or turn into a dog and get savaged while Sam got to safety. We came to the door with "JAGUAR" written on it and Jake asked us whether we were ready. Sam nodded and I was not eager to be outclassed.
"Of course I am!" I looked at Sam with self-confidence that I wasn't sure I had yet. Before I could start to think about it all and chicken out, I grabbed the door handle and tried it. It didn't shift but I put my shoulder to the door and shoved it and it swung open. "That was...surprisingly easy. Well, let's do it." I stepped through the door and found myself surrounded by trees. It seemed like the door came out in the densely wooded part of the enclosure while the jaguar was out in the open, seemingly pacing to and fro. I looked back at Sam. Maybe we should lure the jaguar into the forest. If the zoo workers saw me out in the open, they'd try and get me thrown out. In the trees, it'd be harder to notice that something weird was going on. I tried to move as quietly as possible to avoid attracting its attention before I was ready to acquire it. I moved slightly deeper into the trees and waited for Sam.
