((Yay you're okay!
Are you back in your place yet??))
Myitt frowned down at the little band, nodding. "Blanket, yes. Bucket....maybe. Hang on." She disappeared through the second door that led to the bathroom, the engines, and the little cramped sleeping quarters.
Corliss/Mike slid slowly down onto the floor next to Aurora and Norpo, grimacing as he adjusted his burnt arm and shoulder.
"Oy. It's alright mate," Mike said, patting her back gently. "Everything's going to be okay. You're safe here."
<You were always better at lying than I was,> Corliss mused. Mike bit his lip. "Really. I mean it, Myitt and Tara and Cor..." He glanced at Tia/Norpo. "We all just want to get you home." He looked up at Myitt, who had returned with a moldy but warm green comforter that still had a Wal Mart tag on it.
"Here ya go then, get some rest, okay?" Myitt said quietly, setting the blanket around Aurora and taking a dented metal pail from under her arm. She set that next to them on the floor, then crossed her arms, smirking. "What, should I start a campfire?"
She finally threw up her arms and sat down next to all of them. Feeling awkward, she started idly spinning a U.S. quarter on the metal floor.
"This is another fine mess you've gotten us into," Mike said snidely. "But 'ey, we're alive, yeah?" Corliss added. "...Most of us."
He looked down at his hands in his lap.
