"Right." Michael said, still a little queasy. He ran inside, and closed the door behind him.

Aurora did not move for a moment, mentally steadying herself. Then she slowly rose to her feet and hesitantly inched toward the tupperware, staring down at the slug wonderingly. "Can it hear us?" She asked.

"No," Tia replied, scooting around her to stand in the doorway, since the room was fairly small. "He's deaf, dumb, and blind. The most he has is a sort of sonar, at least when he's in that state." She crossed her arms and watched Aurora, prepped to move at any second, should anything happen. "That's why they need hosts. And why he's building that rediculous android. Those -insert Andalite curse word here- take up the whole room!"

"Oy, I dunno about dumb," Corliss said with a wry smile.

Myitt walked up from behind them all.  "I think we lost one," she said, nodding at the sliding doorway to the bathroom, the engine room and the tiny, tiny sleeping quarter.

"This is what The Sharing would've forced upon you.  Under the ruse of community and togetherness, the Yeerk Empire takes people slowly.  Utterly."  Corliss uncrossed his arms and shrugged.  "And because we're out of our bloody minds, we've been trying to stop that from happening."

"It's a ton of fun, care to sign up?  Yes?  Good, you start Monday, benefits include getting shot at, being hungry, being on the run, and did I mention getting shot at?" Myitt said, ticking those fantastic options off on one hand.

"Yes, well the dumb ones usually don't know they are," Tia replied before noticing Myitt. "Actually, I prefer shooting to being shot at. Which reminds me, do you still have my Dracon beam?" She turned to look at Aurora, raising both eyebrows. "Because honestly, I feel a little awkward without it." She hooked a finger in her jeans and gave a tug, musing, "And my pants are falling down again. So, we just gonna stand around here staring at Norpo, or are we going to actually do something. Like watch TV. The Sharing always provides a TV."

"Dracon beam?" Aurora asked, looking confused, "Oh, you mean the gun? Um...." She blushed, "I...think I dropped it when you pulled me into the ship. Sorry."

Quickly she looks at Mike, changing the subject, "How do I know if someone has a...a bad Yeerk in them? How do I tell?"

"Well that settles it, can't go back to your superior now, eh?" Myitt said to Norpo, biting back a snarky laugh.

"The reality is that you simply can't," Corliss told Aurora patiently.  "In fact you can't really be sure of our own motives.  But trying to entice you to join an organization hell bent on taking away your personal freedom in a really, really personal way is one sort of hint."

"Tia's right though, why don't we do something?" Myitt wondered aloud, bouncing on her heels.  "It's awfully boring sitting here.  'Course we could go on an aerial tour of Yellowstone...or we could try and contact the rest of the gang and see what to do with the newcomers..."

Corliss shot Myitt a quick look.  "How about we lay low until the bloody Empire stops crawling all over our trail, yeah?" he said crossly.

"They won't find us here," Myitt protested.  "There's nothing here but elk and geysers.  Even the tourists won't notice an invisible spaceship."

"No, but the Empire might," Corliss rebuked.  "We just magically appeared in the middle of downtown and started shooting at The Sharing, I think they're a little angry."

"Ok, and I thought I was bad for talking to him while he was in that state. But a tour of Yellowstone might prove to be interesting. God, I feel so weird without a gun. Do you have any weapons?" Tia paused, realizing that she was rambling. It tended to happen without Norpo, almost like that little part of her brain that seperated thoughts from words seemed to have evaporated. But at least this time it hadn't been riddled with random interjections.

"I don't...I mean..." Aurora hesitated, unsure of how to word what she was trying to say, "What's my part in this? I don't know how to fire a gun. I don't want to hurt anyone. But...you said they'd be looking for us..." She sighed, suddenly feeling the weight of what they were saying, "I can't go home, can I? That one girl...Kaitlyn...sh e was one of the bad ones, wasn't she? She saw my face. And Michael's. We can't go home. They'll kill us. Or...put one of those things in our heads."

"Not if we put one in yours first," Tia said with an odd grin. "Which, after a while, you get used to. I swear I have a hole in my head by this point that goes strait through. I don't know if he even has to drill anymore."

((Mm'kay. Making sure so that I don't interfere with any plans you had, if something happens to your character.))

Kaitlyn sighed with relief. "Thank you," she said, sounding genuinely honest in Illrid's opinion. Kaitlyn thought that she was overdoing it just a little.

She turned and pulled the door open, gesturing to Denise. "Follow me," she said.

Denise glanced warily at Kaitlyn/Illrid, as she opened the door for her. She really wasn't keen on doing this, but she figured she had no choice. Besides, these people owed her an explanation. Big time. Especially the one therapist of hers that absolutely insisted she join this nut house.

Denise quickly took the opportunity to scan the desk behind her, seeing if there was anything she could take with her, as a sort of makeshift weapon in case there was trouble. There of course wasn't much at all, except for a letter opener, which would just have to do.

Making sure the other girl wasn't looking, Denise quickly reached behind her for the letter opener, and tucked it safely and inconspicuously in her back jeans pocket. She turned to face Kaitlyn again, who was waiting for her to come with.

Denise eyed her sternly, "Only if you agree to keep directly in front of me or at my side" she said, definitely not willing to risk having this rather shady girl behind her where she couldn't see. "And don't even think about  trying to pull one on me, cuz it won't work" she warned.

"Of course," Kaitlyn replied with a friendly smile, stepping ahead of Denise. She began to walk, not bothering to look behind and see if she was actually following. "We honestly have no intention of hurting you. Those tr--psychos, back there--it's people like them that we try to stop. We wan't peace in this community." Not exactly a lie. It was true. The Yeerks wanted peaceful and voluntary hosts. Though Kaitlyn and Illrid had a feeling she wouldn't be one of them, especially after her experience tonight.

Michael came out of the bathroom. He had a weird taste in his mouth from throwing up. He didn't like the taste. Never did, never will. He came out just in time to hear Tia say, "I swear I have a hole in my head by this point that goes strait through. I don't know if he even has to drill anymore." "Huh?" Michael asked. "A hole in your head? Drill? What are you talking about?"

Aurora paled a little, "In my head?" She asked, looking queasy. "I don't...but I...no! I don't want one of those in my head!"
