I do not think that there is, but I want to ask before finishing my fanfic anyway: Is there any definitive description in the cannon of kelbrids anywhere?  (Meaning in appearance.)

No. Unfortunately, the only thing we know about them is the little bit we get in #54, and that's from Andalites who haven't actually seen them. :-\

If you're writing a fanfic withe Kelbrids and you're wondering how to describe them, I read a good fanfic about them that was featured on the TV Tropes page for Animorphs fan fic recommendations. I'm on my 3DS and don't remember the title, so go to my user page on Wikipedia and go to its sandbox. Here, use this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Dogman15/Sandbox
Find the story listed with Kelbrids.

Did Jake ever tries to starve the yeerk in Tom? If he did, what happened? If not, why?

He never had, or at least never took, the opportunity to hold Tom captive

Mostly because it would look suspicious if a completely normal teenager who had a yeerk in his head went missing for three days, only to come back happier than he had ever been
I am a Blazing Angel. Master of deviant traps and authentic barbecue. Brothers to Rukh the banner maker, Squall the Lionhearted and Underseen the generally sort of okay.

Thank you so much for pointing me out to that fanfic.  :)  I loved it!  (It is like, my biggest dream for my fic to be in the lists of TvTropes.  XD)

(PS: If anyone wants to beta-read...pm me.   :XD:)

Ok, I've combed through the thread and all the books and I can't find it.

In what book/books does Ax state his age?

I need it for my fanfic, but I'm finding conflicting information; even wikipedia has it written as conflicting.  Something about the books themselves placing him at somewhere between 21-28 in human years, yet KAA saying he was around the same age as the kids.

Thanks in advance.

I don't think he ever does. He can't be that much older than the Animorphs, since he wasn't born yet when Elfangor went to Earth, and was born in the interim years. So... if he left Earth 13ish years before the start of book 1, and was on Earth for 3 years, Ax could be no older than 16 in earth years.

Thanks.  :)  I couldn't remember a time anywhere in the books he said how old he was, so it was bugging me how someone got that number.

The timeline does make sense, if his brother was born around the same time as Tobias, though I remembered at the end of TAC that the ellimist told him that his brother was supposed to have been born already, so I didn't know if the ellimist fudged with the timeline to make Ax already born when Elfangor was transported into battle or not.  (That was the only explanation I could think up of if Ax was older than the animorphs.)

Two astronomy questions for a fic:

Is it ever stated whether or not there are other planets orbiting the same sun as the Andalite homeworld?
Do we hear how far away it is from Earth in terms of light-years or any kind of Earth distance? (Given Z-Space we probably don't have to, for the narrative's sake, just curious if this is ever stated.)

It's never said if there are other planets in their solar system. I suppose you could say there's whatever you want there, really.

According to #5, it's 82 light years from the Andalite Home World to Earth.

Was it ever specifically stated how long an andalites lifespan is?

No

In at least one book (#8) and andalite claims to be centuries old:
<Prince Seerow. Yes. He was my first prince. Did you know that? Many centuries ago when I was an aristh like you.> Lirem looked hard at me.

But I find that one hard to take as literal.
And if that's earth centuries or andalite centuries also is also unclear
(We also knowseerow stopped being a prince about 50 years ago, so that's the minimum time for that event-but the max is left unknown)
