'Kay after a bit of searching I finally found the thing I was thinking about with the MM5 off of Hirac Delest.

Also, TMP I'd actually recommed checking out Everworld. I thought it was pretty good.
And in that moment, I swear we were infinite.

whats really stupid is that after the ending she wrote an explanation for it and in said explanation she actually advertised a book series she was writing. Does anybody fell that theirs something wrong with that.

Nope. ^_^

I thought the letter was kinda' sweet, considering she didn't actually have to write it.
Adverting the new series is the standard for anything she prints through Scholastic. It would have been abnormal if there wasn't at least one book plugged before the back cover.
The universe is, instant by instant, re-created anew. There is, in truth, no Past, only a memory of the Past. Blink your eyes, and the world you see next did not exist when you closed them. The only appropriate state of the mind is surprise. The only appropriate state of the heart is joy. The sky you see now, you have never seen before. The perfect moment is now. Be glad of it.

The ending was a hot mess, and you can defend the tone and thematic prerogative or whatever all you want, but that doesn't change that it was still a hot mess that was executed in a hot mess manner. Really, book 52 and 53 should have happened in book like, 48, and book 54 should have happened in books 49-54.

I agree.  The ending ending that people seem to hate ("Ram the Blade ship"/the One), I'm fine with, whatever.  The final arc as a whole did seem rushed though, and yeah, 48 was unnecessary.  At the very least 54 could have been two books, but from that Hirac Delest link it sounds like K.A. had to fit 53, 54, and MM#5 into just two?

Well 48 showed us that Rachel hadn't totally gone off the deep end as far as being the bloodthirsty psychopath she had been protrayed as becoming. Though apparently she was still considered too "lost" to actually live through the war. Even after refusing Crayak, and her last thoughts being about shopping instead of something like wishing she could have killed them all, she was still portrayed as not mentally sound enough to cope after the war. That confuses me.

It has been shown in hundreds upon thousands of books that it tends to be the little things that bother you. In the 7th chronicles of Narnia the king we beaten and tied to a tree by his own people, yet what most concerned him was a small trickle of blood that was tickling his chin that he couldn't scratch. And she has been shopping for pretty much her whole life. That could be considered one thing that kept her tied to reality. When your being heavily taxed by emotions little things like family, friends, and pets keep you sane instead of locking yourself and the bathroom and drowning yourself in the toilet.
