Hmmm, yeah Cassie's attitude wasn't always the best(if ever) but I don't really feel I'd be violated but that is just my pov.

Would I? Hmm, definitely because I tend to have a low opinion of myself, and I don't want anyone doing ANYTHING to decrease that opinion, i.e. impersonating me and making me look even worse (than I think I do :P).

But I don't think Jake would be mad for several reasons. One, he's known Cassie a long time (when was it said that anyway, it doesn't SEEM like they've known each other long in MM#4) and trusts her judgment, so I think he'd probably be glad because remember, they were trying to get information out of Ax, so if this helped him to become more trusting of them, so be it. Two, as anyone with a brain knows, Jake REALLY likes Cassie and couldn't stay mad at her for long when she FREAKIN' ALMOST GOT TRAPPED AS A SKUNK, which was one of her more idiotic things (not morally questionable). And finally, he doesn't seem like the type to get disturbed with someone parading around as him. Was he upset in #6? Granted, he had more important things on his mind, but still...

There, I've said my two cents. Anyone got a counter for that?

Ok back on topic. Actually rather does anyone feel this topic should be close. I mean does everyvody agree that you shouldn't feel violated and it was justified.

Would you feel violated if a girl you liked got your alien friend to dress up like you, have dinner with her family and spend some alone time together?

Yeah, probably not. Now if it was a girl you didn't like... or didn't know... that would be different.

On a related topic, how do you think Marco felt when David morphed him?

He was probably excited to actually see what he looked like without a mirror.

I ask about David morphing Marco because it's one of the few times where we actually see why the "no morphing humans" rule exists.  And Marco's reaction to the morph is never explored.  I know his reaction is obvious and taking the time to do so would impede Book 22, but it would have been interesting to have more insight.

Okay, I'm coming out of retirement to answer this.

I really don't think it is that big of a deal. First off I don't think Jake is irrational enough to be hurt by Ax acting as him in order to relieve a bit homesickness. Also Cassie didn't use him for her own purposes, she just thought she was helping.

If Jake found out he might be a bit jealous but I don't think he would be hurt. I think that his primary objection would be the risk that Cassie was taking.

As for the no morphing humans rule, the controll of simple instincts is something humans do everyday, control their instincts and impulses to prevent themselves from doing stupid things. When morphing an intelligent species they simply take their instincts nothing more.

I believe the no morphing human rule exists because of the importance of identity. I admit Jake would be a wee bit ticked off that Ax was disguised as him but I think he would understand.

Remember, they were also trying to get information out of him. If Jake thought that would help him do it, I don't think he'd hesitated.

To the "David morphing Marco" debate I have a theory about that. Marco doesn't tend to focus on the negative in his life. He himself has said that he wants to focus on the silly, idiotic, funny side. It doesn't seem in his character to ponder deeply about the fact that his hated enemy was using his form. Maybe he'd be a little disturbed, but I think he'd move past that because hey, it's over and done with, no changing it now. Plus it could be used as material for new jokes! Ok, whoa, I DEFINITELY overthought that one... :P
