Cody still had a hold on Kelran, but wasn't so much on his back anymore. All three of them stared at what Hu had become. "That's either really good or really bad." Cody said.

He then began to morph a golden eagle. It would get him into the air, so he could take a look around. <Hu. If you're still in there, this would be the time to grab Kelran. We've got to book it out of here, Now!>

Suddenly, a Cape Buffalo came around the corner of the medical unit. <I am so mad right now, at both you and Hu! Where, is Hu, anyway, and what is that thing?>

<Yes, we came. You guys are also hours late. Right now, we need to save Kelran.>

((Ok, this is where the two groups meet up and save Kelran.))

((Logically...))

Nichole shot past Emily, figuring she could yell at Cody, and skittered to a halt in front of Hu. <Woah. That's a big...um...Is that Hu?> He was the only member of their team that she couldn't see. Plus there was something about the creature in front of her. It smelled like Hu.

((Since Smilodite language consists of growls, roars and snarls . . . Hu can speak in this form, with translation via the Encarta.  Oh, and Hu is roughly the size of a small Bug Fighter.))

"I'm . . . fine." Hu said, voice strained, barely suppressing the animal instincts.  It was getting easier the longer he dealt with it.  But it was still an effort not to give in to his instincts to attack and kill and eat all of these smaller, delictable (sp) morsels.  "It is difficult though.  It wont . . . be easy to get me out of here though.  But my new strength will . . . will be sufficent enough to escort Kelran out."

(( :o That's big!))

<If you can't easily get out, how do you plan on getting Kelran out?> Nichole asked, calmly. Admittedly, it was a bit scary to see a giant Hu, but at the same time, she trusted that he wouldn't have done...whatever he had done without knowing that he could control it. Or so she hoped.

((Yes.  Yes, it is.  Aruten wasn't a very nice place to live when these beasts roamed about.  Think of this kinda like a Dinosaucers Dinovolving thing.))

Hu looked Kelran.  He thought, while keeping the animal fury of his evolutionary ancestor at bay.  "Random mayhem and destruction? . . . Providing you a cover to leave. . . . The Devolution Draught . . . effects don't last long . . . but this is permanent.  Whenever I am . . . stressed . . . Hork-Bajir cannot hope to harm me with their blades.  Dracon Beams cannot penetrate the plates, being far too small. . . . I hope they have nothing a cannon beam or something. . . . It is difficult keeping this beast under control."

Kressillet was making use of Kelran's vastly superior agility to dodge Hu, Kelran knew he had to do something, and do it quick...
So he gave KRessillet what he wanted, he let him in.
And in that moment, he managed to gain enough control to simply stand still.
"Hu... please.. for the love of life... hit me and drag me out of here."
He began to trmble with the effort as Kressillet sifted through all his memories and thoughts. If Hu didnt act now, their lives werent worth a spent disruptor power cell.
*anything* is possible, *some* things are probable, this is what is.
And I will continue to deal with what is...
Until it is no more....

"Perhaps I can try to overload the mental connection between the Yeerk and Kelran, it would only last a moment so Hu would have to act expediently." Yarin said.

"Well, hurry, yarin.  I can't repress the violence of this monster.  It wants to attack something!  Anything!"

Hu noticed that his paws were worming eagerly.  Claws trembling to be used.  But Hu had to remember not to use all of his strength -- it could be fatal.  Gigantofatalismilodons were use to hunting elephant-sized prey, but they were pleased to hunt anything smaller then they, themselves, were.

"Alright," Yarin said as he let down his mental guards and tranfered all the thoughts he heard in to one powerful blast, and aimed it at Kelran. THUD. The Gryphon went down like a rock, soon after that Yarin fainted.

Hu realized how much he missed his opposable thumbs.  He wrapped the Gryphon in his tail and placed them on his back.  Then repeated the process with Yarin.  Then he looked at the door.

"Looks like the door is too small . . . too bad!" Hu roared as he smashed through the door into the open area of the pool.  Hu quickly said, "Everyone get out, I'll give you cover.  Grab my satchel and cloak, please."

Hu was aware his was attracting many looks.  He saw Bened, and saw with pleasure that he was scared stiff.  Hu was about to indulge partially into his instincts.  Hu unleashed a roar that caused the pool itself to jump and lose about a half pint of liquid.

<What the hell was that?> Nichole asked, shaken by the roar. Even the panther was a bit worried, which only added to her fear. She scooped up the cloak and satchel in her mouth, throwing the cloak over her back and carrying the satchel in her mouth. <I'm ready to leave when y'all are!>

Cody had been overhead, and happy that he was out of reach of that thing. He soared overhead, providing a bird's eye view of what was going on. When he heard that roar, he practically lost control of his morph and smacked into the wall. The noise left him deaf for several seconds.

((Hey, weren't we going to have the dev drought effect us too? So we sould change to something else. Cody would turn into a dinosaur, since birds evolved from them.))

((Oh, yeah. But I was thinking that we'd end up doing it when we demorphed. Otherwise, I don't know what the effects of the devolution draught and the morphing technology would have on people.))
