Hmm, my Mom doesn't get Animorphs, but my Dad kinda does. Every now and then, the first time I read the series, he'd ask me what was going on in the book, and would, more or less, understand it. My Mom is not much of a sci-fi person unless it involves Star Trek.
If you are not in my avatar, and would like to be, or if you changed your name and avatar and would like me to update it, PM me. I cannot add or change anyone at the moment as I lost the file I use for this, but if people still want in, I'll work on it.

I am RAFmarried to my sweet shnukums, Rachel. ;D

Pfft...Star Trek.

Every single time I bring an Animorphs book to school, I get asked what it is. Kind of annoying.

um...I'll just settle for the library. besides I have no money, and if I want a book, my mom doesn't let me buy, she says to go find it at the library.

See, no one at my school knows what Animorphs is...most likely because they came out right after or in the year they'd been born...

Im the only person in my school who's probably even heard of Animorphs. The only other people I know who now of the books' existance are my next door neighbor(Who got me interested in Animorphs), her younger brother, my cousin, any of my friends who see me reading on of the books

One person knows what Animorphs is and has read them at my school. Just because she has older sisters, though.

Haha, there was this boy in my fourth grade class who was an Animorphs fan. There was only one copy of each book, so any time we both wanted the same book, we'd have to bargain and exchange, lol.

One day in fifth grade the teacher was giving a lecture on birds, and he held up a picture of what looked to me like a red-tailed hawk. He said, "What is this bird?" I had the serious urge to shout, "It's Tobias!"

When I was in fourth grade, one of my best friends started reading Animorphs, so we started trading off. We'd each finish a book at the same time, then I'd give him back the one I'd just read and he'd give me the one he just finished. We normally got to each book within a day.

The opening of the Megamorphs book with the Time Matrix was probably one of the darkest moments in the series...then again, that whole damn book was dark as hell.  Yay for darkness?!

What's weird is, even though Animorphs was pretty popular, I didn't meet any other hardcore fans in person until college.  My friends were just the "meh I'll read one, then toss it" type.  No matter how much I tried to convince them x3  These days I convinced my boyfriend to read the whole thing (he's Pez001 on here) and yeah, he didn't run screaming for the hills, so that's rather a good thing XD  Success, finally!

i was remembering elementary school and i thought back to when one of those animal trainers came to do an assembly when I was in 4th or 5th grade (can't remember which year exactly. but i was only in that school for 4th and 5th lol).  She brought out a red-tailed hawk and you could hear all the kids in the auditorium whispering "Tobias!"

and i remember if my mom and i went to the store and i didn't have money to buy the newest book, i would carry it around the store and read it completely while my mom shopped lol.

Something like that happened at my school. It was funny cuz this guy brought a red-tailed hawk and there were only three people in my school who knew what Animorphs was, so everyone was like "who?" when we said Tobias.
