Well I just lost my appetite.

I don't think there's any distinguishable 'form' to what is in Z-space. The matter that is pushed out into Z-space is just that...pure matter. I don't think there is anything recognizable. It isn't like there's a bunch of blood and guts hovering in Z-space...

I was under the impression that was exactly the way it worked

Pray thee, by pure matter you mean atoms? Sub atomic particles? Or the body mass as one amalgamated blob where the tissues are undifferentiated? People goo, if you will

That last on is how I always picture, for convenience, but really if the mass in z space does lose form, I'd figure it should probably be reduced to as basal a unit as possible.

Yum, people goo.

Yeah, I know the Animorphs joke about there being bits of Marco or whatever floating around in Z-space, but I think in actuality the technology would want to break the matter down to the smallest components possible.

All I asked was what happens when you morph during your period, why are we talking about blood and Z-space  :P

Well ko ko brought up blood and I simply stated that you would morph the exact same way you would normally

From book 18 I was under the impression that the extra mass in Z-space naturally formed itself into the form of a body.

As far as morphing while on your period goes, it wouldn't be a problem.
See, periods happen when the blood that had been collecting in the uterine wall for the month beforehand is eventually shed.  So as soon as you morphed, that blood would go away (as it is not presumably part of your genetic code) and the cycle would be reset.  Thus, no period, unless you went without morphing for at least a month.  *is suddenly even more jealous of the Animorphs*
Well, if you dont get your periode because of the morphing, then shouldnt Rachels or Cassies mom or dad noticed that they didnt have their peroide or need pads or tamponds for like 3 years or so?

lying solves all, and I guarantee the dads at least aren't going to be checking that :X

Many people say chronological order is
TEC
HBC
TAC
Visser
then the series, and some may argue MM2 after TEC

I disagree; in my mind publication order is chronological with 2 exceptions: TAC runs along the first few chapters of #1, and TEC runs along the 4th or so chapter of #54.
All the others are stories told within there place in the series. The story is of earlier events, but the telling of the story-which is the book- is at a different point in time.

So says I. Anal retentive as I am

That, seems reasonable. Animals don't "shed" like we do. I guess it then disturbs the hormonal cycle as well?

umm, i was intoxicated when i posted that... i didn't realize it would spark such conversation.

a more sober response: if morphing did not disrupt the hormonal cycle, i think morphing a tampon wouldn't be too difficult. it's not exactly skin tight, but it's inside so i would guess it's easy to morph

Please tell me someone has posted something along those lines before, because I just got a huge dose of deja vu but don't know where that though is coming from
