I think the only thing that excites my interests more than the possibility of an Animorphs movie is the possibility of an Animorphs video game. Yeah, I know there are already some out there. I bought the computer game (it was okay) and I own the Gameboy game (worse than the television series), but what I'm talking about is a video game that stands up to the quality of today's big-name games.
Just imagine a story line where you actually get to choose your own morphs, when to morph, and it actually seems like you have become the animal when you use the morph. Imagine morphing a ****roach and suddenly finding that your character has blurry vision, or morphs a bat and can suddenly find its way around in pitch darkness, or morph a wolf and suddenly sounds come out of your speakers that wouldn't have if your character was human.
Another interesting feature could be open ended missions where you have a set goal, but no instructions on how to achieve that goal. For instance, if your mission is to get documents from a building that is guarded, you could A) sneak in as a bug unnoticed, B) disguise yourself as one of the workers and walk through the front door, C) Barge in through the wall as an elephant and trample everyone in your way, or D) come up with an alternative plan.
Also, it would be really nice if fights were in real time instead of turn-based...
I feel the video game industries are missing out on a series with some terrific and unique game-play opportunities. What are other peoples' ideas concerning a top quality Animorphs video game?
