Everworld animorphs and remnants
« on: September 17, 2009, 12:58:24 PM »
It probably doesn't even belong here. But well i thought i'd post it just to attract your attention. Did you ever hear of K.A.Applegate before she wrote animorphs and just before she finished she wrote everworld and then followed it with Remnants. Don't you think that they are linked somehow?
If you look at Jalil he fits Ax description perfectly, except for being an andalite. He is the intellectual of the group. In other words he seems to know everything about everworld even though he has never been there before which is parallel to Ax's knowledge about weapons , technology and war even though he had never been in one before.
Billy Weir in remnants is practically equivalent to the troubled Tobias. While Mo'Steel is like Rachel and Jobs like Jake. Christopher does seem like Marco but is more offensive and less controlled which mirrors Rachel's tendency to lash out at times.
Merlin, obviously resembles the Ellimist. Notice how the members have no specific weapon until book six. David starting with a troll's sword and ending with Galahad's, in book three which as far as i've read he's still using. Jalil is the only one  who actually keeps his weapon. There is a bit of Cassie In Jalil which is shown when he actually cries. David has Rachel in him as well as all the members of the group not him as brave , but just like  the other animorphs talked about achel's blood thirstiness is the same way the other members talk about David's unwilligness to go home. It's also clear that just as Rachel didn't know what she would have become is the same way David has no plan for his. April bears a slight resemblance to Ax since
1. Senna was related to her just as Ax was related to Elfangor
2.Senna and April have a strange relationship but unlike Elfangor and Ax bends towards the negative side.
3.She talks about Senna as frequently as Ax talks about Elfangor.
And last but not the least two face in remnants bears resemblance to Tobias who has two sides to his personality.
So what do you guys think? Because if there's something i'm missing i really want to know

The first time I heard of KA was Animorphs. It wasn't until much later that I found out it wasn't her first series. I also came across everworld when it first came out, since I was big into Animorphs. and of course she advertised Remnants at the end of book 54.

Yeah, I think there are similarities between the series.

You're right, I think. Except maybe the relation April-Ax, that I don't really see like that... I saw April more like Cassie in some way. And Jake & David are eaders who have issues... Jake and his brother, David and his fear to be a coward. Both try to prove something to the others... Senna also looks like Animorphs-David: the ally/enemy who use and betray the others.
