personally i don't like it because it does seem a bit blasphemous (hence why my g is lower cased). but i would perfer to do away with it all together.

the animorphs one is a great idea and makes sense. I am on other forums where they have the levels correlating with characters or other titles from the books

Hey, this thread was started because some people thought "God" was offensive, and then you go and suggest that we call banned people "nothlits"?  

(J/k.  Mostly.)

Anyway, yeah, I like the idea of Animorphs-themed ranks, but I don't know if they should be named after species.  Maybe ranks, instead?  Like, a mix of Andalite and Yeerk ranks (since those are the main species we know the ranking systems of)?

Ah, yes, I thought I was spelling that wrong.

And it's okay about the nothlit thing.  I know you didn't mean it that way. 

I think that, if we could find a way to let each person choose between an "Animorphs" system and a "Default" system, then that would be ideal.  I just don't know if that's possible or feasible, or how that could be implemented.

Couldn't vecol also be considered offensive? Andalites use the term 'vecol' to talk about dissabled Andalites, who they show antagonism towards (as we saw in book #40). I know it would be used for banned people, but still.

I like DN's idea. But I agree that Banned, Gold members, donators, staff should all stay what they are now.

I'd also say that "War Prince" sounds more important/better than Councilor, so I'd say flip flop the two.

Good point, I hadn't really thought about it that way.  Hmm, maybe we just need to keep them listed as "Banned."

Yeah, that's a good point.  Besides, it would be best to have the very top rank be an Andalite rank, rather than a Yeerk rank, anyway.  Nothing against the fine Yeerks on this site, of course, but most people seem to like Andalites better (for some inexplicable reason ).

And another thing.  Does anybody know which one is actually a higher rank: Prince, or Tactical Officer?  Because I just realized that I put T.O. above Prince, and now that I think about it, that doesn't seem right.  So we should maybe switch those two around, as well.

Not so sure about the other Animorphs-themed rankings...it doesn't seem as obvious what rankings are higher than others, if that makes sense.

And yeah, I think Prince and T.O. should be switched.

But I keep thinking that we need something higher/more important-sounding than either Counselor or War-Prince to replace "God."  But I keep coming up blank.  The Electorate is the highest Andalite ranking I can think of, but they're a group, like the Senate, not a person.  Captain is a pretty high rank for Andalites, but I don't know if I like the sound of it.

And I don't want to use Ellimist or Crayak, because they're both too specific.

Perhaps "Hyper-Dimensional Entity"?

If we did that, I think we should take out Counselor, and bump War-Prince down to where Xtreme Member was.  I mean, Counselor doesn't actually sound very important at all, now that I think about it, since it could refer to any council, not just the Council of thirteen.
