i think the fact that ONE person let alone the 9 who have voiced their opinions think that the god position should be changed is enough.

I prefer to look at the issue holistically, on a more democratic level. Currently 60% of those voted do not have a problem with it. That's a majority. One person isn't a majority... Neither is 9 (in this case).

While I have no problem with changing the rank (to Elite), I have to be shown that it (God) is broken.

I think Richard makes a good point.. If one person doesn't like the colour of the forum, would we vote to change that too?
I think just because this is based on a touchy subject of religion, yes, i think it should be changed... But Any other problems like colours of the forum and that type of nonsense, should just be chosen by Richard.
Even though some people says it doesn't bother them, some people are highly religious, or anti-religious or just believe in a religion that "god" may be awkward or offensive, so i think it just for that sake, it should be changed.

(p.s: are we able to change our vote now?)

I don't see the problem. It's no different then playing a video game and being so good that you get the rank of God. or playing Doom and such with Godmode on.

This is what other members have done in the past, one of the more notable ones is Estelore, who has changed her ranking to "Star."

That brings me to my other note: If we change it, will members such as Estelore be required to have their ranking changed back as well (since it would no longer offend them)? I would think this would be a good Idea so that people don't start asking for theirs to be changed.

I think that the rank should be left alone.

It's not saying that you are God, it's saying you are a god of posting.

If someone has an issue with it, then it's up to them to have it changed.

It's like saying I'm offended at toilet humor, I'm going to have South Park discontinued.

If you don't like it, change it yourself. Don't force everyone else who likes, in my case loves, that rank.

I would be offended if I was forced to be demoted to Elite if I was previously a god.

if u are A god, the g is lowercased. when u ARE God, the g is uppercase. that is the issue here

Not necessarily. If the word 'god' is by itself, or at the front of a sentence, then by all rules of proper punctuation in the English language, it must be capitalized.

yes but usually u specify if it is another god in that case. u normall would not say something like "God is the ruler of greece, his name is Zeus".

you'd say it like "Zeus, the greek god is the ruler"
