well if they decide to back out, i am assuming that the staff of this board had the foresight to keep the files on hand, we can easily put them back up should they decide that there isn't enough interest in redoing the series.

assuming that we still have them...

I'd like to say 'fat chance' again but meh...guess it depends on the future of this series. Heck the next generation might be born once they release it...and we might be replaced! :O

I so do not trust a torrent and any online shop (actually, I can only buy textbooks for uni with my card since..well Singapore doesn't have a majority of them) Anyway, I'll pm you later cuz I haven't really started on my latest chp for my fic, "Alteramorphs: The Alteration #0". Been stuck on my art for a while. :x

Again, thank u! -hugs ya to death-

np, it's just one RAR file with all of the ebooks. You just need winrar to extract them. The whole thing is about 28 megabytes all told. Should be a quick dl for anyone on anything faster than dial-up. It has 1-54, both Alternamorphs, all three chronicles, all four megamorphs, the vegemorphs parody, and Visser.

Again thank you. I'll ask you when I need them and btw which email u're using cuz I'm wondering if a file that big can be sent via email.

Thanks again! :)

it's just barely too big for e-mail, but I could easily split it into two to send via that with no trouble. Right now I have it on rapidshare or megaupload. The ebooks work, checked by me, and I rar'd them and then uploaded them myself, so I know it's safe. But again, if you prefer e-mail, I'll just split them into two rar's and send two seperate e-mails.

Edit: Just so we're clear, megaupload and rapidshare are not torrents, they're a direct link to the file, same sort of deal you got when downloading before from this site.

Well you can send me by email. I don't mind either way. Of course, I have tried downloading (other stuff) from those websites but I don't know, I can't seem to get them (I wait and wait and in the end nothing comes).

I think those websites hate me. :\

Anyway I'll try that in rapidshare or megaupload. If I encounter problems, I'll let you know. Thanks again!

Sure thing, when you want them, just let me know. I'd be glad to split them into two so that I can e-mail them. Gmail allows up to 25 mb and they barely edge over that at 29.

Wow, it is amazing how many lurkers popped out of the woodwork when the ebooks were pulled down. >_> <_< I feel used. :P

Adam, I checked AFF last night and their copies of the ebooks are still up, but yes you need a minimum post count (5 posts) to access them. I have no doubt that they will take them down as soon as news reaches them.

To everyone: we are taking care of the situation as we are best able. While it is really unfortunate of Scholastic to harp on their largest fan community there really isn't anything we can do about the ebooks right now. Bottom line is that they own the books and they have every right to demand that we remove them, especially with the rerelease which may contain its own ebook options.

It sucks, but that's how it is, at least for right now.

OK, please everybody, calm down. I just saw that the Ebooks were removed, but don't forget I [...]
I know you think about torrent and stuff, but forget it: Pirates don't use Torrent anymore ^^' They use DDL (direct download now), it's harder to catch people who download like this. [...]

Well I never used the ebooks (I own the entire collection) and we all knew this day was coming, I'm almost surprised it didn't happen sooner. Still, it's like the end of an era for all RAFians. The ebooks started the increase in members that made us what we are today, and for that I am very grateful. True it also gave us a huge amount of lurkers, but if it wasn't for the ebooks I know some awesome members wouldn't be here right now.

I can understand Scholastic wanting us to remove the ebooks, but what irritates me is their timing. There wouldn't even be a re-release happening if it weren't for dedicated fan forums like us keeping the memory of Animorphs alive. Therefore, it's a little insulting that they wait until the re-release is due before asking us to take them down. It's like they're saying "thanks but no thanks."  ::)

While I am glad to see others taking up the cause, I have deleted my ebook copies (though all I had was Everworld). I had hoped to convert them all to mobi files for ebook readers (such as the kindle), but since there was a take down request I won't be doing that after all. I can't afford the legal fees / damage. Also, I am hoping Scholastic will release official ebook copies as well.

Anywho, I wish you all luck and hope this community stays in good shape.
