I just reread book four, and Visser Three says that since he has the bandits, Visser One's trip was meaningless and she could return to the homeworld.

I think there's more evidence to indicate the Andalites haven't secured the Yeerk homeworld.

I think you mean book 5

About DNA of animals from the Andalite planet(s), did you think about this:
Visser 3 has Alloran as host... Alloran had the morphing power before he became a host... so he already morphed before... and of course he needed DNA, so took the DNA he could find: DNA of animals from his own planet! Even Ax said that Kafit is one of the first morph Andalites try. So Visser 3 must use old DNA Alloran took at the beginning of the war...
In fact, what is strange is that Ax seems not having any morph from his own planet...
Yeah I think everybody (except the animorphs and ax) thought of that.

I just occurred to me that blue fur is a weird adaptation, unless there is something about the Andalite flora I am forgetting.
Until then we fight.

Grass on the Andalite homeworld is mostly blue. Since all they eat is grass, this diet may effect their hair color. On the other hand, if that were true Ax's hair should have become green.

actually it's more blue green...does that blend with blue and tan? and what about females? they're blue-violetish.

maybe its merely evolutionary adaptive and not actually effecting their pigmentation

Like blending in to protect themselves from predators...which I think someone already mentioned on here. Also I realized this point is strengthened because I remember reading in the Ellimist Chronicles, how the Andalites had an abundance of creatures that preyed on them back in their prehistoric past, so it makes sense that they'd need that camouflage along with 360 vision and a wickedly sharp and fast tail blade.

Though I think all those traits are kind evolutionary overkill if you ask me lol. Most prey animals on earth have one sometimes two strong attributes, but they seldom have THAT much firepower. After all, the ecosystems on the planet have to balance out, do they not?

Lol I now think we have our answer to that question, hun.

Though on a more serious note, they probably went extinct like many animals on Earth do over the course of millions of years. Extinction doesn't just happen due to us ya know? ;)
