Um...I'm a little unsure if I should post this...but does anyone else read Animorph slash fiction? If so what pairings?

Slash fiction is a genre of fan fiction that focuses on the depiction of romantic or sexual relationships between characters of the same sex.

ah, i hadn't heard that term. nope, haven't read any.
based on that description, though, i'd imagine something with cassie and rachel or something.

Well, slash is defined as having two or more characters of the same gender in a romantic pairing. So yeah.

given their powers, any pairing can be a slash pairing.

Despite my being a slash/femslash fan, for some reason I have trouble reading Animorphs slash. A lot of it is really out of character.

I've read a couple of good Marco/Ax fics, which is one of the only few pairings that seems to work, since neither of them were paired up in the series itself. And I suppose maybe Jake/Marco could work at the end of the series, since Jake and Cassie aren't together anymore.

The only slash pairing that I actually wish there was more fanfiction of is Gafinilan/Mertil. (The two Andalites from book 40)

Consider yourself lucky, lol.

Sorry, I'm just not a big fan of any type of romantic fiction really, especially unrealistic ones (and let's face it, most slash fics are unrealistic). Still, I know some people are into that kind of thing and they have every right to write whatever they want.

Honestly I don't know if any of the Animorphs could really work in a slash fic, but that's just my opinion.

Here's the thing with any animorphs slash I've found, it generally tends to be more adult oriented and include the fact that they can morph into animals. So I'm just going leave it at that.

I've never read a fic with them morphing into animals...

I'm unsure what you mean by slash being unrealistic, then again, I'm pretty picky. If any of the characters are OOC, I tend to stop reading.

Yeah that's pretty much what I mean. I'm not interested in slash fics, but they often seem to have pairings that would never happen.

Oh, well, the pairings from other series I read make sense cause the characters have some kind of chemistry
Like Nick Stokes and Greg Sanders from CSI
Jimmy Hopkins and Petey Kowalski from Bully
Trent and Kirby from Bully (Technically canon)
etc

I quite like a lot of slash fic, although of course it depends on the pairing. I'm really quite the romantic despite my gruff exterior ;) but I do like my romance to be within the realms of reality, so to speak (in regards to personalities involved).

Like with my other big mid-to-late-1990s-early-2000s fandom, The X Files, I'm not massivley big on slash in Animorphs, although I don't mind Marco/Ax when it's done well. In the het pairings, I really only like Elfangor/Loren and Dak/Aldrea anyway, so it's not like I find it offensive that someone is breaking up my OTP or anything. There's even a series of Tobias/Jake fics that I read a whole back on ff.net which were just awesome. But it was the writer's skill that drew me in, not the pairing, if that makes sense.

The only real Animorphs slash pairing that I'd read based on the pairing is Gafinilan/Mertil, but I've never seen fic based on them, sadly. Anyone know where there is some posted? ;)
