Sorry. The problem is that MP3 is a lossy format, meaning that it removes data in order to save space. Smaller files, worse quality.

FLAC is lossless, meaning it compresses data without actually removing any of it. Bigger than MP3, but smaller than WAV, and the exact same quality.

We need to use FLAC in order to preserve as much quality as possible.

At any rate - is this project still on-going? If so, I'd like to contribute or at least try to if that's all right, by auditioning for a part if there's any still open for males. I've dabbled in amateur voice-over before, and to get to do it for Animorphs would be a dream come true.

There's the list of parts that are, and are not taken. If you're interested in participating as a voice actor, we've instated a rule that you have to do directing or timing for at least a chapter of the project before you can do so. If you're really interested in helping out the project, that's what we're most in need of - timers. If you have any experience at all with audacity, it should be pretty easy for you to do.

Well, I'm not the best in the world with timing (assuming this means mixing more or less right?) but I've done a bit, and yeah, I use Audacity (though I've had to bounce to WMM a bit too). I have an example of my work in that regard if you're interested, should I post it or PM it if so?

Either way, definitely willing to help in some capacity if I can. Looking over the cast list now, and picking out who I think I could pull off maybe if I get that far.

We don't even need a sample. Honestly, we're so desperate for people to help with this part, as it's the most time consuming, anyone willing is more than welcome.

It is REALLY pretty simple, all it involves is copying/pasting pieces of tracks together. Guy or I will give you timer privileges, and when I get back home and settled a bit I can let you know what you can work on, unless guy does it first.

I would love to help contribute to this project in any way possible.  I have dabbled in Audacity in the past.  I am also a theatre major and have done some voice acting and would love to lend my voice to this project as well.  I know I am new to RAF but I really want to help keep this series alive in whatever capacity I can!

So... random question for someone with a relatively small, almost insignificant part. I did more than one take of my lines. Should I submit all three, and let the director decide which is best? Or should I only pick one set to upload? Also, for filenames, it says to stick to the segment name without punctuation. Would that include spaces, too? Right now I have it saved: 08M1AndltsGiftCh9Jo rdan.flac
