Back from Crete
« on: August 06, 2009, 03:05:21 PM »
Hi !

For those who noticed my absence on RAF, I am finally back after the exam time ( I eventually got my results ! Phew !), and after this one-month-and-a half journey in Crete.
But I missed so many things... I am really behind on RAF>.<   Sorry for that.

I hope everyone is doing well !

It's wonderful to have you back, Tocade! :D
The universe is, instant by instant, re-created anew. There is, in truth, no Past, only a memory of the Past. Blink your eyes, and the world you see next did not exist when you closed them. The only appropriate state of the mind is surprise. The only appropriate state of the heart is joy. The sky you see now, you have never seen before. The perfect moment is now. Be glad of it.

Long?  Doesn't bother me, the king of TL;DR!  Make it as long or short as you like.  ;)

(Incidentally: if you want revenge for my long posts of the past, post in French.  Make sure to include plenty of pictures and smilies to make people wonder what you're saying.  Refuse to translate it into English until I post a decently-close translation and make this point clear to everyone else, so that they pester me until--

Wait, why am I giving you ideas?)   ;D

Oh, before I forget, I have test scores of my own to share.  Remember the test I took a little before you took the TOEFL?  I just got my score: 89/100.  The hiring manager said that 90 is exceptional, so I'm definitely still in the running.

Yes I remember !! I wondered if you had gotten an answer ><
Wow glad to read that ! I was sure you would did well (even though it seems you did more than just well  :P )

I have some good news from me too !
Remember me struggling with maths at the start of my second semester ? Remember this boy who had the best marks of our promotion during the first semester and who helped me with my mathematical problems during the second semester cause he obviously had a big crush on me ?
Hehe, he must be a good teacher cause I got 19,5 out of 20 at my final exam while he got 19 >< (he was disgusted as he was expecting a perfect 20 as usual when he got his results)

I know this is silly but my general average for this second semester is around 16 (80% ?!) which is quite rare thus meaning a very good thing for my futur attempt to be an exchange student in Melbourne uni !!!

Oh and no, sorry but I will write my story in English depriving you from the pleasure to try to translate French to English ><

welcome back!

Melbourne uni! I could visit you sometime :)
"I always considered myself a loner. I mean, not like a poor-me, Byron-esque, I-should-have-broughta-swimming-buddy loner. I mean the sort of person who doesn’t feel too upset about the prospect of a weekend spent seeing no one, and reading good books on the couch. It wasn’t like I was a people hater or anything. I enjoyed activities and the company of friends. But they were a side dish. I always thought I would also be happy without them."
