why does (almost) everyone on here confuse the (' & ") meanings for feet and inches?

' = feet, " = inches, c'mon people!

((I realize that Shortie and Gaz used them correctly, thus the "(almost)"))

6' 8" = 6 * 12 + 8 = 80 inches.
= 203 centimeters.

"HQ" is "height quotient," 100 + 15 * z-score of height.  I've never heard of it before, myself, but I defined it by analogy with "IQ," which is:

100 + 15 * z-score of performance on analytic reasoning task.

I guess I'm just off in the clouds.  Which is strange, since my HQ is only 122.


(And, yes, it was a set-up for this overly-elaborate and not-funny joke.)

i just finished the first book and I'm looking for the second in the library. BTW, I'm using the library for my internet connection ATM. So i can't annoy as much as i want to. :'(
