I agree, I think that scene worked fantastically the way it was executed, but I still have to question, exactly how did he cut through 50 Hork-Bajir and a dozen or so humans in all of two minutes?

Maybe imagining how is the point

I always kind of saw it as like this Hulk-meets-Terminator type of rampage, y'know?  He's probably completely silent, Arnold style, but mowing through the phalanx of guys like some angry jolly-green-giant in a moment of "die die die".

Hey, maybe he even had little circular saws come out of his hands of something.   >:D  BZZZZZZZ.  Aaahh!

I scare me.

I remember reading somewhere about Marco being one of her favorites. Ironically, a lot of good writers tend to treat their favorites like crap and tear them through the emotional and physical wringer.
That is true <_< i know because i do it. I don't know why i just do.
but i don't think Marco had more than teh others he was just good at describing his injuries more than the others.

LOL you need help.

i recall a scene where Marco had gotten his arm ripped off in battle and he was using it as a club to beat up  the Hork-Bajir. Lol, crazy/sick imagination KA had....

I think that was Rachel who used her severed arm to attack Horks.

That's actually awesome.   :P   >:D

I mentioned that earlier in this thread. And it was indeed with Rachel. She used her severed grizzly arm as a club. Pretty awesome, if I do say so myself.

What does it mean to be free?

That's a whole new level of hardcore.  Why can't 99% of people be tough like that, instead of whiner babies this generation?

running through water isn't necessarily on the ocean floor. it could also be floating in the middle of the ocean and running, which would be getting nowhere...

He didn't have to run, he could've swam, with his extremely fast legs, they would've worked as an insane propulsion. Even to counter-act his weight and lack of bouyancy.

On Topic, everyone got hugely mauled in this series, but Marco was kinda the pin cushion in the start of it.

Yes he was. Through at least the first ten or so books, Marco is the one that got hurt the most.

He does in #10, but that's because he's narrating.  I can't remember anything from #1, #2, #3...

He had the dolphin/shark thing, and the ant stuff...

Was there anything else?

book 10: he nearly got swallowed by a crow in spider morph
book 5: nearly got boiled as a lobster
... and that's all I can think of, actually

Should the ant thing count? Weren't all of them being ripped apart? So that one thing applies to all of them.

Right, but Marco has a few more instances than the others.
