HA! I'm a total Trekkie too. I used to be fluent in Klingon.

Personally, I'm not looking at a colony. I'm just looking at me. I'd have a place on the Andalite homeworld, a mix of a one-level human home and a scoop. Some sort of eco-car to travel the distances between me and my neighbors, because I can't run as fast as them. Because every Andalite is supposed to contribute something, I'd have my own cafe; run out of my home. I'd really only interact with Andalites. Also, because I'm a vegetarian I'd grow or order my own food.

Every time the crew ofthe first Star Trek series went down to the surface of an unexplored planet, all the main characters would beam down. In the landing party, there would be the main characters and one crew member who never had a name, was in a red shirt and was never seen before that episode. They'd die within the first five minutes of exploration.

I could see an Animorph Star Trek crossover, where the only thing to wear down to a planet is the color red, and before the Animorphs get out, they all shout their names.

Jake: We have to make a stop on this planet to continue our search for Ax.
Marco: I can't find any shirt that isn't red.
Jake: So wear the red one.
Marco: Are you insane!? Have you never watched Star Trek!?

"The Ellimist has asked us to fight on this unknown planet! It's a dangerous mission, and it's more than likely that one of us will die. Who should I bring? Being the Captain Leader of the Animorphs, clearly I should go. I think I'll also bring Cassie, Ax, Marco, Rachel, Tobias and of course Ricky, who has just joined us!
