Book cover characters

For the characters, it's like this in my opinion:

Jake: #41 is the best, but I think he never really looks right.
Cassie: #29. Cassie has always looked perfect for me.
Marco: #5. Something about him screams Marco. The other pictures make him out to be too young. Short doesn't mean baby-faced. A friend of mine is just over four foot six, but he looks his age (he's turning 19).
Rachel: #37. She looks really fierce. 22 and 48 are close seconds. 48 looks like Buffy: The Vampire Slayer.
Tobias: #3. Hands down. I know he's supposed to be blond, but I never saw him that way.
Ax: Ax looks about the same in each cover. Remember, guys! He had to be scaled down for the covers. Having his tail full-size would be too big to properly fit on the cover, you wouldn't see the morph!




Cerulean: No offence, but I really hate her. In the last two, she just looks really ugly and when I saw the first one I was like "OMFG! Is that Hannah Montanna?"

Ugly? Hannah Montana? No offense taken or meant, but you, my friend, need an eye adjustment.

I liked the first picture, Cerulean.  The one with Marco morphing the wolf spider is really creepy.

Rachel:

4. Most of the early books.
Worst:
1. Book 54 (Sadly. I still really like that art, but that's not right for Rachel.)

Tobias:
Best:
1. Book 54
2. Back to Before
3. The Ellimist Chronicles
4. Book 3 (left a strong impression, sometimes hard to replace with blond Tobias).
Worst:
1. Elfangor's Secret (Awkward hair, smug expression)
2. Book 13 (I thought that was a different Animorph at first)

Cassie:
Best:
1. Any of the books. I liked her model, plus she was the same model each time.

Marco:
Best:
1. Book 45
2. The Ellimist Chronicles
3. The Andalite Chronicles
Worst:
1. Book 20

Ax:
Best:
1. The Ellimist Chronicles
2. Book 54 (cover, not inside)
Worst:
1. Anything else

Those are my two favorite covers!  And I agree, they are the best representations of the characters for me.

And sorry, Cerulean, but I also have to agree with agentAK on the Rachel model.

RACHEL: MM4 (the ONLY cover I liked her on, period.   original model wasn't gorgeous like Rachel was described, and in 54 she looked younger than when she started)

TOBIAS: ??? (never reconciled the book and model descriptions, so I stick with the bird)

CASSIE:9, MM4 (progression)

MARCO: MM3, MM4 (progression)

AX: only in my mind does he look right

Marco in the absolute just looks odd.  There is about zero intensity or few traces of emotion in the model.

I picture them all looking like how they looked on Megamorphs 3(Well I actually picture Rachel looking how she did in The Solution and I picture Cassie with braids tht at least touch her shoulders or in a ponytail. I never liked how they gave her ridiculously short hair)

I've found my perfect Cassie now. On andalites gift. I have allways thougth her to be more... sweet than she is on the rest of the books.

i read that they're real people, and they were replaced in the later books because they looked too old.  i've been obsessed with finding out who they are!  if anyone knows, please let it out!
i honestly despised the new covers; they all looked OFF, except Cassie, who stayed.
i love these covers for the characters:
Jake: 26- he looked handsome.  to me, that's jake!  Also MM#3
Rachel: 2, 32 (cool smile) MM#3
Tobias: 3 (this is tobias, i don't care about the hair!!!)
Ax: All
Cassie: All, but mostly 4 and 29- the best covers for her.
Marco: 5- I love that smug look.  i think of this cover when i read his books.

i started reading the series in 6th grade, with #1.  the new covers are so unnatural to me.

Back to Before is good, except that Marco should be shorter, and possibly Tobias too. They shouldn't all be of equal height. Other than the height thing, I think it's fine.

edit: And marco's animal should be a Gorilla. Not sure why they chose the cobra for him.
